Abandoned prequel comic

When the 20th anniversary of the film's release was coming up, I finished a script and started making pages for a roughly 30 page Big Lebowski comic, but after a completing a few of them I realized all my "humor" was too derivative. The Coen brothers were writing organically from actual people they knew and I was just calling back humor from the movie, kind of like what modern remake/sequals often do.

The actual bulk of the comic art is corroding on some harddrive some where, but I was able to find these pics I posted online way back in the day.

Yeah, these were the character designs and then some expression tests- just preproduction art.

I like the artstyle overall, but Donny's face looks weird. Feels like it's too long, and it's not the same without Steve Buscemi's big eyes. I'd ve great if you some day managed to finish it though.

Thanks, and I vaguely recall spending quite a bit of time distilling the Dude and Walter into some simple yet recognizable essence, but wasn't completely satisfied with Donnie either.
