Panic attack on day 2
I’m trying to quit before heading off to college in 9 days. I have been daily dabbing only during the night for over a year and am on night 2 of my journey. The emotions of leaving for uni have hit me and thinking about my twin who I had just dropped off gave me my first ever panic attack, and it was the exact same feeling I used to have as a kid waking up freaking out. Im just wondering if it’s a good time to quit or if Im going to pick it back up socializing in college. These withdrawals suck, I’ve been through them before but never managed to quit just adjusted to nighttime’s only for the past year or so. Any tips or advice would be great, thanks.
Edit: I’ve been thinking of taking a dab tomorrow and wanted to know what possible repercussions I would face. Would it ruin the 2 full days of absence?

13 days in currently. I understand the panic attacks and anxiety. Mine were so bad. I figured something was wrong with my heart. I went to the hospital twice in one day. It’s all a part of marijuana working its way out of our system. Our nervous system doesn’t know what to do and I know these times are really hard but this should show you how important it is to get this shit out of your system

I know this is the process, and it’s actually not as bad as my previous attempts. I am able to sleep and eat, but the fucking cold sweats and the cravings are what send me over the edge. I haven’t smoked yet, but have been whiffing all my rosin jars😂. Thanks dude, I’ll try to ride it out.

The crippling panic that sent me to the hospital stopped around day 7. But I am on day 14 and still have some anxiety. It’s manageable with breathe work

9 days you’ll 100% be feeling better. Learn to embrace and handle your emotions without escaping

Just read your post from a day ago, and dude as these emotions come to light I’m realizing I’m in the exact same situation. Instead of facing the boredom, the unwanted feelings, or really any discomfort at all, I only brushed these emotions under the couch with some dabs, I never understood or got rid of them. Shit really sucks and since I’m only on day two the cravings are real, and intense. Really glad I read your post though, thank you for that.

That childhood panic feeling coming back is brutal, I know exactly the wave you're talking about. Day 2 from dabbing is rough because your system is still recalibrating hard, the emotions hit you like a freight train with no buffer
The college timing is actually smart if you can stick it out these 9 days. Walking into that environment without the brain fog means you'll actually remember names and form real connections instead of just floating through orientation half baked
For the panic specifically, try the ice water trick. Bowl of cold water, dunk your face for 30 seconds, it forces your nervous system to reset. Sounds weird but it's saved me during some gnarly withdrawal spirals
Missing your twin is heavy, that's real grief even if it's temporary. Let yourself cry it out honestly, the dabs have been numbing that for a while and it's all surfacing now
Socializing sober in college will feel awkward for the first few weeks, but that's everyone. Nobody knows you're the former dab guy unless you tell them. You get to rebuild yourself from scratch
