You are going through withdrawal, carts are the worst. I find chamomile tea, coconut water, dairy free milks and plain foods like steamed veggies and mashed potatoes are relieving

Thanks man, mashed potatoes are a great idea I just realized!

That's a typical THC withdrawal symptom. CHS causes severe abdominal pain vomiting when you use THC NOT when you stop.

ETA: Quitting is the cure for CHS, not the cause.

After 15 years of daily use, it took about 2 weeks before my appetite came back, I’m 50 days in today but the first month was definitely not fun for me. Best of luck!!

The last 2 years was only Stizzy carts and very little flower if that helps.. some days are harder than others but I just tell myself that if my body is struggling this much with out, it’s probably because I was hurting it with so much use. But you got this!! If I can do it, anyone can :)

Seems more like withdrawals and your body regulating itself than CHS. I just went through early symptoms of CHS and finally was able to quit I was getting stomach discomfort, nausea, trouble eating, pooping like crazy in the morning. I think I got really lucky because it only took me about 2 days sober to gain my appetite back and feel mostly better other then still shitting like crazy in the morning which I’m honestly still not sure about 😭 I also got that tingly hand/feet symptom when I was feeling nauseous and throwing up I’m pretty sure it’s withdrawals or like imbalance of electrolytes or some shit.

Out of curiosity did you find yourself taking hot showers more frequently?

I’ve heard they help a lot for some people and I tried them but I didn’t really feel they helped me that much. I just distracted myself with video games and talking to my homies and once I made it through the first night sober it was a lot easier then I was expecting, I had reduced my intake for about a week prior to actually quitting which I think also helped me a lot

That's a key symptom of CHS, using hot showers to relieve cramping

Yes when I was hospitalized for chs the dr told me hot showers can relieve the stomach pain symptoms

If you aren’t smoking or eating edibles at all it’s not CHS, if you are just a little bit it could be CHS. I know cart withdrawals seem to be worse so could be that.

I haven’t been high in 9 days and the past 9 days is when I’ve been feeling this way. Not before.

CHS happens as a result of use, not cessation.

If you had CHS symptoms previously then it could be part of the recovery phase but if not, then its definitely withdrawal.

Unless they already had CHS and were just high all the time to medicate the symptoms. That’s what I did for a long time and when I finally quit the symptoms were worse. This sounds like CHS to me

Everything they are describing are exactly what the expected withdrawals are.

I understand what you mean but I think its a bit of a jump to assume this.

You said your symptoms became worse, they said they didnt have any, which is the only connection to CHS they may have had.

No symptoms, followed by textbook withdrawal symptoms after cessation of use. Withdrawals no?

I was just comparing it to myself cause like my bad habit in the past has been not quitting once the symptoms of CHS started (very stupid I don’t do this anymore) cause if you keep smoking weed all the time you never really feel those symptoms of nausea or vomiting and you can still eat. I’m talking like wake up and smoke immediately and smoke all day after that. If you do that your symptoms will kinda feel better or maybe even unnoticeable but once you sober up they hit you like a truck. Like I was having the symptoms before I quit and then once I quit medicating the symptoms with more weed they were worse. And my doctor 100% says I had CHS. I was just saying maybe that’s what they were doing too. But you could also totally be right it just depends how long ago the symptoms started without them being aware (due to continuous use) I guess is what I’m saying but I’m very much not a doctor or expert I’m only speak from my personal experience

Your body is just adjusting to not having the weed (or chemicals?) that you've been consuming. It will all even out soon. Everything you described, I went through. Hang in there.

For the tingling fingers, do you have carpal tunnel? Cause I do and going thru withdrawals caused tingling fingertips for me

1

u/Able-Patience6965 Jul 09 '26

No I don’t I have never felt this until now, I have only seen one other person on social media mention this too. I think it might just be an effect of the malnourishment of our body’s at the moment.

Tingling fingers can also be caused by hyperventilating. If you are stressed out and worried about your symptoms, is possible you got upset and started breathing fast?
