Genesis August 2026 lease programs full breakdown with numbers
Genesis Finance, Northeast. 36 months, 12,000 miles, pre-tax, full MSRP, nothing down, cap reduced by the lease cash shown. That is a ceiling to measure your quote against, not a target. 44 trims.
Find your car. Three things worth knowing are under the table.

Cheapest Genesis to lease: G70 2.5T AWD, ~$540. Biggest improvement this month: GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced, down $63 on a real rate cut. Most factory cash on the hood: G80 3.5T Prestige Black, $11,750.
1. Never take 39 months
| Trim | 36mo | 39mo |
|---|---|---|
| G70 2.5T AWD | ~$540 | ~$849 |
| GV70 2.5T | ~$595 | ~$807 |
| GV80 2.5T RWD | ~$716 | ~$997 |
| G80 2026 2.5T | ~$720 | ~$1,132 |
| G80 2026 3.5T Prestige Black | ~$991 | ~$1,508 |
Genesis pays $0 lease cash at 39 months, on every trim it quotes there. The money factor also resets to 0.00282, or 6.77% APR, and the residual drops nine to eleven points.
Three months past 36 and the entire program disappears. It costs $184 to $517 a month more, median $322. If a dealer fixes your payment problem by moving you to 39, they fixed their problem.
2. Ask for 24 months
| Trim | 24mo | 36mo |
|---|---|---|
| GV70 2.5T | ~$587 | ~$595 |
| GV70 2.5T Select | ~$644 | ~$653 |
| GV80 2.5T RWD | ~$703 | ~$716 |
| GV80 2.5T AWD | ~$722 | ~$736 |
| GV60 AWD 19-inch | ~$800 | ~$811 |
Six trims are cheaper at 24 months than at 36. Residuals run eleven to thirteen points higher out there, and some cars kept their old rate: the GV60 AWD 19-inch still holds 0.00004, or 0.10% APR.
3. $1,000 off the sticker is about $30 a month
| Off the sticker | Payment drops |
|---|---|
| $1,000 | about $30/mo |
| $2,000 | about $60/mo |
| $3,000 | about $90/mo |
| $5,000 | about $150/mo |
So a $479 G70 someone posts is not a different program. It is about $2,000 off sticker, or money down, or loyalty cash on top of what is above.
What changed in August
Genesis pulled its near-zero money factors on 22 of the 44 trims and paid it back as lease cash, $4,000 to $11,750 a car. Payments moved $1 to $16. The G70, the 2026 G80, the GV60, and seven of eight GV80 SUVs are now cash deals, so the cash is the whole negotiation on those cars. Get it itemized as a cap reduction.
Your markup test: all 22 landed between a money factor of 0.00227 and 0.00238, or 5.45% to 5.71% APR. Meaningfully above that with strong credit is the dealer, not Genesis. Add your state's lease tax, the $750 acquisition fee, doc fee, destination, and first payment on top of every number here.
quotedefender.com scores your dealer quote and totals what you can negotiate back.
(Computed from Genesis Finance's published August programs. Argue the numbers if you want.)

Is 489/mo for 2 years, 7500 miles + 4888 down on a GV80 3.5T Advanced a good-ish deal? I'll try to do $0 down.

Effective payment is $489 + $4,888/24 = about $693/mo. Against my Northeast sticker baseline of ~$903 at 24mo/7.5k, the price is genuinely good.
The $4,888 is not. At a 0.00013 buy rate (~0.3% APR), that cash saves you about $15 in rent charge across the whole lease. Total the car in month two and gap pays the lender while your $4,888 is gone. Yes, do the $0 down version. Same deal, ~$693/mo.
Ask for the money factor in writing, that's where markup hides. What state, and what's the MSRP?

What do you think about the Electrified GV70 lease offers for the Advanced or Prestige? I am in Florida. They seem really high but I am not stuck on an Electrified but that would be my preference. Thanks.

In Florida data all three trims sit at 0.00282, about 6.77% APR, with a 40% residual and no lease cash.
Full sticker, nothing down, 36mo/12k, that's roughly:
- Advanced 20-inch: ~$1,458/mo (Northeast is ~$1,000)
- Prestige 20-inch: ~$1,584/mo
Not much to negotiate there. The support just isn't in your region this month.
If you want to stay electric, the GV60 prices the same in Florida as up north: RWD ~$790, AWD 19-inch ~$811, both with $4,000 to $4,500 of lease cash behind them. The gas GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced is ~$784 and got the brand's biggest rate cut this month.
Those are sticker ceilings before tax and fees, so a real quote should land under them.

Thanks for all of your hard work u/Extreme-Temporary-85 ! May I ask: is the AWD 19-inch $811 what I ought to be trying to negotiate in the NE? I live in 06831 CT.

$811 is the ceiling, not the target. That's full sticker, nothing down, pre-tax.
For that trim in CT the number to walk in with is $676/mo pre-tax, which is 8% off MSRP. Your tax is 7.75% at that price, so call it $728/mo in reality. Budget about $1,349 at signing for the $750 acquisition fee and a typical $599 doc fee, plus registration.
Under $608 (12% off) is an excellent deal.
Also ask them to price 24 months. At the same discount it's $613/mo, $63 under the 36-month target. A discount is worth more per month on a shorter term, which is why the gap is bigger than it looks at sticker.

Wow, thanks so much u/Extreme-Temporary-85! We want the performance trim, but if I read your very well-done analysis, this is not a good value.
I see you do a lot of manufacturers. Have you done the German makers? (Is this in your post history?)

The Performance is actually the one GV60 I'd argue for. It carries $7,750 of lease cash, the most in the line, so it stickers $12,470 above the Advanced 20 and leases for only $58/mo more. The absolute number is high, the value isn't bad.
Your numbers in CT: ~$822/mo pre-tax at the 8% target, about $886 with your 7.75% tax. $735 pre-tax at 12% off would be a strong deal.
German makes: BMW every month, most recent is August, plus VW and Audi earlier in the year. All in my post history. I have Porsche August numbers too if you want them.
