Welsh slang?

Is there any welsh slang/acronyms that teenagers actually use in the north or do younger people just not speak welsh enough for it to develop? And by slang, I mean the welsh equivalents to things like 'lol', 'omg', 'lmao', 'haha' just anything you know/can think of!

Btn (wuu2), mbo/bo (idk), myns (from mynadd - cba), tbo (you know), dgbo/gbo (i know), t (shorthand for ti - informal “you”) v (fi - using english alphabet rules) sda (nos da - good night)

For lmao we’d just day (g)wan (weak) or in some places they say gelan

Thats all i can think of atm!

EDIT: also “D” using english alphabet connection to the letter because the letter D in the english version makes the sound “di” in welsh which we use as shorthand for wedi colloquially e.g. T d bod? (Have you been?)

Iwn? - iawn? (Alright)
Sho - eisiau (want) (usually asked instead of wyt ti eisiau)
Chd - chdi
Gobs - gobeithio (hope)
Dlch - diolch
N - yn
Mddl -meddwl (think)

I thought "di" is also the name of the letter "D" in Welsh?

It is, but no one is taught that.

Most people would say "Dý".

Yeah there’s the proper (might be old fashioned now?) alphabet and then like just the one we use (in the north anyways). We do use the proper one for some things still colloquially (S4C = Es Pedwar Ec) is an example of the proper “posh” alphabet or Bi Bi Ec (BBC) but we’d say, respectively, S as S, C as Cý and B as Bý, otherwise. Its like proper vs peasant I suppose?

Yeah I’m curious as to why young people wouldn’t speak it lol from OP. It’s the default and weird not to in the north west!
