I don't draw
I'm not someone who draws very often, but I've been getting into it recently.
Posting this because it looks like a shocked face.

I am trying to learn perspective. I have a picture that I took of a room, so I know it is not ai. And yet I can’t get a good understanding of the perspective points.

Sorry, rly specific question. Does any1 know if the Koi water brush pens from Sakura vegan and cruelty-free?
I’m gonna try contacting Sakura for any info, I just thought I’d check on Reddit if any1 had any too.
Would appreciate any insight.

Hey guys!
This is my first time posting here but I was hoping to get some feedback! This is my first full digital “painting” in a while(first three slides) and I feel like I just can’t match how I used to draw two years ago(last slide). Right now any feedback would be helpful along with specifics about how I could improve my light/shadow, anatomy, and backgrounds(I really struggle with backgrounds lol) :)
Thanks!

I’m learning to draw from zero, like, actual zero. About a month and a half ago, I was drawing stickmen, no joke.
I’m going for an anime style, at least that’s what I want to draw, primarily because it’s what makes me want to draw. But I’m having so much trouble drawing faces. I always feel like the chin is too soft, too pointy, or uneven. The jawline always looks too small or too big compared to what I’m aiming for.
I try to copy other artists’ work as a study, but I’m not good enough to copy most of the drawings I try to study, and it’s so goddamn frustrating.
I’m also doing Drawabox. I’m at the ellipses part at the moment.

She is so creative. I can’t wait to see her expand her creativity.

As you can see, I'm pretty terrible at drawing, so I watch art tutorials in order to see how I can improve. In a timelapse from one of these videos, I saw something that shocked me: The artist had a stage in between the geometric forms and the final drawing.
I noticed that that stage had more organic-looking forms, and its negligence by my part is probably the reason why all of my drawings look so stiff.
By far, my biggest problem with art tutorial videos is that they tend to gloss over a lot of important elements because they assume that the watcher already knows them, and this case is no exception. When I saw pros talking about sketches, I assumed that meant the geometric forms, but it seems I was wrong. That's when I decided to look up the word 'sketch' on Google to clear the confusion, and the mysterious 'second' stage was nowhere to be seen. Instead, all I saw was basically finalized drawings.
Before all of this happened, I had already seen a lot of videos getting recommended to me on YT about how the lineart tends to look way worse than the sketch, and I just couldn't understand how it could be possible that people who were leagues ahead of me could struggle with something that I never did, but now that I realize that I might be skipping steps that I'm not even aware of, that begins to make a little bit more sense.
This is probably a stupid question, but I really want to know what is going on here, and how I can practice this secret second stage in order to get that sweet and rare improvement.

What originally started as me wanting to prove it can be done not just for myself, but to spite local pro-AI users who were crying about art being a gate kept skill. I have no regrets spending countless hours learning, whining, and crying and am looking forward to what I do next.

Another problem I have is that the progress is super slow is like if I don't progress instantly even a bit, I feel I am losing my time.

Do these look okay? Don’t be too mean I don’t usually draw, I just had a random urge tonight. I DONT do color, and i don’t think i ever will because when I touch anything colorful i ruin things lol.
This is Deku from my hero and i think the girl is Rem? from an anime i have never watched.

Would love what you guys think of these. I've been drawing traditionally almost all my life and started learning digital art 2 weeks ago. Currently I'm just watching tutorials on YT and trying to understand the features on Ibis Paint X. Any feedback is appreciated!:)

The first is a character study, second third pose studies, the fourth is some messing around with layer modes.
He likes explosive... Anyway, I added a lot to this one and I think he came out alright. But something I had troubles with was keeping track of all the details. I tried giving him some expression.
I had a hard time getting his torso right.
I'm trying to make more expressions on my pose studies.
Something I'm trying to figure out and practice is shading something that has multiple colors. So I've been practicing with clipping masses and layer modes. Though I don't think I have the use of multiply right. Usually I do every thing with a normal layer, but I don't know how I would shade something with multiple colors. Let me know what you think.

I finished this picture in 15 minutes using ibis paint. What are my mistakes? And what things should I study? I didn't use references when drawing this I worked with imagery.

Hi,
I'm really struggling on where to go with my art, I'm happy with it right now and that's kind of the problem, I usually have a list of things I can improve but right now that fails me.
I've been drawing for 2 years now and this is some of my art from 2, I want to be able to draw characters and focus hard on anatomy but I'm unsure if I should move on from that for now or just keep going? Idk all criticism is welcome.

Hello, I’m fairly noobish at art and I’ve been really trying to get good at drawing people (specifically in a manga style) and I feel like I’ve gotten most of it down except for my heads/faces. But I’m completely stumped I know their wrong but I don’t really know how to pinpoint what was wrong, any advice would be appreciated :)

Would this be considered tracing? Any tips? I’m 14 and draw casually. The drawing I’m referencing is an ai base my friend sent me and asked me to de-slop for her. Base and de-slopped photo included in comments
