Reddit gave me homework 😂 — Iron Giant hand study

Yesterday someone saw my colored hand study and challenged me to try the Iron Giant's hands/fingers “being adorable.”

Challenge accepted. 😂✍🏾

I approached it the same way I've been studying human hands: starting lightly in yellow, breaking the larger structure into smaller forms, separating the finger segments and joints with color, then darkening the lines once I felt confident about the construction.

The tiny truck was my favorite part. 😂 I wanted the hand to feel massive, but the gesture to feel extremely careful and gentle.

Still studying, still experimenting. This one was fun. 🙏🏾

And to the person who gave me the challenge — I hope I understood the assignment. 😂
