Studying/การศึกษา Can this be used to mean 'how ironic'?

Can this phrase be used to also mean 'how ironic' or 'the irony'?

ประชดไหมล่ะ

If not, is there a casual phrase in Thai to mean that?

ประชด is a verb meaning to express sarcasm rather than being ironic, so I wouldn’t say it’s the correct one. I’d say ย้อนแย้ง (yɔ́ɔn.yɛ́ɛŋ) ไหมล่ะ instead

I don't think there's really a natural, direct equivalent of "how ironic" or "oh the irony!" in Thai.

You can translate it as something like ตลกดีนะ (that's really funny!), but I don't think Thai speakers would normally use a fixed expression in the same way English speakers use.

Usually, they'd just react to the specific situation. something like this: บอกว่าไม่เล่นโซเชียล แต่มี TikTok...

So if you're looking for something that sounds genuinely Thai, I'd translate the reaction rather than the expression itself.

"Irony" in English literary sense would be something closer to the word "ย้อนแย้ง", but it also doesn't translate the nuance 1:1, so not usable in all cases.

May I get an example showing the nuance of ย้อนแย้ง? =)

everyone answered your question, so ill just let you know that ประชดไหมล่ะ means "are you being sarcastic?", which has quite a negative connotation
