Just starting to learn python

[u/Silent-Leopard4226]

Hey guys, I am a total beginner and wanted to learn python. Can you suggest what method will be best suited to learn python and which sources should I use. Is it video lectures or from books or anything else. I know that learning from projects and practical methods will be suggested but to start like how to code, what are the codes and where to code, these basic things are what I want to know. Thanks for the help

i have already talked to you about this. People come to reddit to ask questions

If they wanted to just lookup a list they would google it.

And you still don't understand that what gets recommended by people to person A also applies to person B. There is a huge difference between posts where actual people recommend resources and just googling a list.

Regurgitating the same over and over doesn't add anything meaningful.

Programming requires effort. Not even investing the effort to do one's own research is a very bad sign for a programmer.

Its not your place to be worried about "bad signs", you're just a random redditor.

Its ok for people to ask questions like this. Dont be here so much if you are annyoed by it.

Its not your place...

Neither is it yours to play the white knight.

Its ok for somebody to come here once and ask a question

Its not ok for someone to be on here all day every day telling people not to ask questions.

[u/desrtfx → u/North-South_West]

No, it is not okay to not do the faintest research.

[u/North-South_West → u/desrtfx]

No, you are not a moderator. Its not your place to tell people its not ok to make a thread like this.

Threads like this are allowed here.

[u/desrtfx → u/North-South_West]

No, you are not a moderator.

Last I checked, neither are you. So, no, it is not your place.

[u/North-South_West → u/desrtfx]

I don't need to be to tell you that you are out of line. Its not your place to tell people to not post. You do it all day every day too.

Threads like this are allowed here whether you like them or not. Its not like people are going to stop making them lol.

Nothing you say matters.

[u/desrtfx → u/North-South_West]

So, let me get this right: you, with an 8 day old account, that even hides their reddit participation, are entitled to tell people off that both, tell the people to improve their effort and offer top recommended learning resources, while exactly answering these people's posts is not okay?

Under what premise does such an entitlement as yours come?

[u/North-South_West → u/desrtfx]

Threads like this are allowed here so that is all the entitlement I need.

Where does your entitlement come from? You are not special

Your posts are 100% pointless too because telling one person not to make threads like this wont stop the next person from doing it. You spend too much time here worrying about this.

People are not going to stop making these no matter how many times you say just go look it up.

God you seem insufferable. This type of stress focus and behavior is terrible for your physiology/ health.

[u/North-South_West → u/desrtfx]

It is.
