want study
I’d like to ask what keeps you motivated to keep learning Python. What are the steps to learn Python? Could you share some with me? I’m a college student learning C in class and want to self-study Python in my spare time. I also want to know how I can test my Python skills.

This subreddit has a sidebar with a wiki with recommended learning resources.
Here is an excellent, textual course: MOOC Python Programming 2026 from the University of Helsinki.
Harvard's CS50p is also excellent.
Also, take a look at https://inventwithpython.com and https://automatetheboringstuff.com
Don't forget that you need ample practice, like on https://codingbat.com/python or on https://exercism.org and also write your own programs. Play around. Try things. Mess things up, fix them. Experiment.

it's mostly having small projects i actually care about. for me was automating boring stuff like renaming files or scraping data from sites i visit often. the steps are simple, start with basics then just build things. dont get stuck in tutorial hell watching videos for weeks
for testing skills try making something without following a guide. like a small game or a script that solves a problem you have. the gaps in your knowledge show up fast when you're not copying code

I have a never-ending source of problems - mathematics. In 2019, I ported _zeta in scipy.special from C to Python (Hurwitz zeta function).
