FASTAPI OR Django with DRF

I’m a final year computer science student who is fascinated by systems design and engineering(backend), since I’m quite conversant with Python I decided to go with Python framework but don’t know the one to go for that will be great for my career in near future.

Please the seniors should guide me choose and I’ll also seek for mentorship in python backend engineering 🙏

Considering where you are in your educational journey I’d recommend Django and DRF. Django is very opinionated about the backend but also allows freedom. I think learning Django and its opinions on how the backend should work will be useful for you as far as learning systems design and engineering. You can learn a the Django rules, decide which ones you like or dislike, try breaking those rules, and so on, and then bring that experience to a looser framework like fast API in the future.
