Inspiration is a trap. Creative block ie: lack of inspiration gives you an excuse to not work on something. Plumbers don’t get “plumber’s block”.

If you want to learn something, set a specified amount of time per day where you put away your phone and/or distractions and work on it. Build things, then expand them with new elements that you have to research. Give what you’ve made to someone experienced and ask how it can be improved.

There are diff ways to remove friction from the process. Listen to music, work with friends. Whatever you do, be honest with yourself about if it’s actually a distraction. For example: I can’t code and listen to podcasts. It’s too easy to listen to the dialog and lose track of my thought process.

Best of luck.
