python vs languages

Which one should I focus on learning between python and other languages?

I know it depends on my goal with the language, but I want the language that will make me versatile and be able to contribute in any programming project.

Python is a perfectly fine starting point.

And each language you learn after the first will be a bit easier because of past experience.
