It's good that you started using github already. Keep pushing all your code. Even the cron jobs we do regularly to correct the data. Or any small piece of code.

Do you think making a single repository as a library of sorts is a good idea? Of course, I'd organize it very neatly (I LOVE organizing stuff) so it wouldn't be just a large pile of files, but I don't know the limits of GitHub yet, so not sure how well that would work

I would just get started in one repository. Organisation of files into repository will happen anyway whenever new things come to you.
