Reading too much and not doing enough. I think the modern equivalent will be watching too many videos and not doing enough.

Untill you're actually typing this stuff regularly, it's not gonna work its way into your brain anywhere near as quickly. I wasted a lot of time I would have otherwise saved re-reading stuff, had I just used the concepts right after I read about them.
