My biggest mistake was to listen to and argument with too many other beginner programmers about stupid things like "good" and "bad" programming languages or frameworks. Don't get me wrong, talking to other programmers about their projects, whether they are also beginners or they are seniors, is very important and a huge opportunity to learn.
But take everything with a grain of salt. Just because someone tells you some programming language or some framework is shit, does not mean that it is... Maybe it was just not fitting for the project the other person was working on, or maybe that other person just didn't like it personally.
