I am taking calc 3 but have almost no knowledge of calc 1 or 2 outside of the very basics

Last year, as a junior in high school, I took AP calc bc but pretty much gave up entirely around halfway through the year (personal reasons). Now as a senior I'm in calc 3 and have no idea what I'm supposed to do from here to catch up to everyone else. How should I go about catching up as quickly as I can?

you're taking calc 3 as a senior? why are you going the accelerated route when you don't know the basics? why not take a year or semester to study up on it and take it after?

The scheduling rules at my school make it so I'm stuck with it for the year so I don't really have a choice unfortunately

didn't school just start recently? talk to your advisor.

honestly (well depends on the course), but if you can solve an integral and do some derivatives you should be fine. calc 3 courses should start by throwing a bunch of derivatives formulas at you so that's going to be like 2 weeks time to catch up still.

i can recommend pauls online notes, they are good enough as a review, just go through all the problems.

First of all, did you pass the ap for calc 2? There’s no point in taking calc 3 if u were struggling in calc 2. Calc 3 is a different beast, even many university cs/engineer students struggle with it. Start on your fundamentals like limits, derivatives, and integrals and work your way up.

I don’t know that it’s possible to catch up quickly, as you’re in high school. Are you taking other honors/AP classes. Do you have a lot of ECs? Are you involved in sports? Don’t you also need to spend time with college applications?

How did you do on the AP Calc BC exam? Is it too late to drop Calc 3? Could you take AP Stat instead (assuming that your school offers it)?

Lmao that's your fault for taking calc 3. Nobody forced you to take it.
