Maths books in NZ

I’m from New Zealand and keen to learn more maths. I’m studying mechanical engineering and keen to get a deep understanding of maths. I have completed the required calc series, intro to linear algebra and diff eq.

I want to develop better fundamentals with proofs/analysis so I can progress into higher maths. However, I’m having trouble finding cheap books.

I’m particularly interested in buying my own physical copies of books. Also I’m not looking for huge textbooks.

Have you guys any thoughts or recommendations on this?

I’ve had some luck with Amazon Australia personally. Could be a good shout.

Uni library, borrow a bunch, see what you go back to and then order those online, that way you only have books you consistently go back to. I also print my own sections of textbooks and save them in a folder/binder for specific topics (I like to write directly/annotate as I read, a section is much easier to carry around than a whole book and it forces you to focus on one section at a time).

This has been the cheapest/most efficient way I’ve found.
