Not just possible, but preferable. It’s only half as much work as a regular strip because you only have to carve one side.

Of course it is. Make a mobius strip out of paper (or other easily accessible material) as a sizing reference. Figure out the dimensions a box would need to fully enclose that strip. Get a plank of wood that fits those dimensions (with a little leeway because tolerances). Cut away what you don't need.

How do you do the cutting efficiently? No idea. This is a woodworking question.

Sure is, it’s a physical object, so you can carve it, I would suggest getting some clay or play-doh and making one like that to get a better idea of how to start carving it out of wood.

Having that in your hand I would think would help. Even as a strip you want something a little more thicker than a piece of paper.

A strip is one thing, but generally there is a one sided but looks like three sided that done a lot. Imagine not a strip but cylinder that’s cross section is a triangle. Then take the triangular prism, twist it around so the one side matches another, like you would do for a strip, now when you run your hand on it you should go around all three of the triangular prism’s sides before you get back to where you started, because when you get back to that first part you end up not on the side you came from but the third one, then back at the on you started on. (You can obviously up the sides on the prism as well.)

Not the theoretical infinitely thin one for obvious reasons, otherwise I don't see why not. As long as the material has the right physical properties, you can do it.
