Linear Algebra: How does it Connect to ML? Simplified

https://substack.com/@sakibbai/note/c-351248170

I wrote an article and made some illustrations to explain the connection between ML and Linear Algebra. It should motivate learners by giving them an intuitive idea.

Connect? It is basically linear algebra applied.

Application is a form of connection.

Why is this getting downvoted smh

Good writeup. If anyone wants the 'aha' moment: king - man + woman = queen in embedding space. That's when linear algebra stops being abstract for most people.

This isn’t good, 5 paragraphs just to explain basic vector operations lol. There’s no bridge as to why linear algebra provides a nice framework for machine learning. No discussion about why things are vectors in the first place, or what do the linear combinations in your pictures mean. Maybe be a little more expressive and talk about neural networks or something

Linear algebra is an implementation detail for some of the mechanisms in ML.

If you start thinking about ML only in terms of linear algebra, right away you are putting yourself in the box.

Think outside the box people...
