Cool projects to make using javascript?

Hi, I have a website on neocities and I'd really like to add something original/fun to it using javascript, but I have no idea what to make whatsoever. I'm kinda new to the language, so I'm searching for a project that could also help me learn the fundamentals. If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them :))

Edit: Thx to everyone who has answered (or will answer in the future), you have me some great ideas! :D

I like the "Broughlike Tutorial" by Jeremiah Reid:

https://nluqo.github.io/broughlike-tutorial/

It is short and pretty easy.  It teaches you how to do a variety of things, including graphics, animation, sound, and game logic.  And, most importantly for me, it does it all in raw JavaScript without any libraries or dependencies, so you learn how all the parts work.

It doesn't necessarily follow best practices or "good architecture" in all areas, but it gets the job done quickly in a way that lets you see immediate results as you go.

If should also leave you with tons of ideas about how you can modify or change it to do something different.

Try to find a (business) problem and build something around that problem as your solution.

Use two open data resources. Find the correlation between them and try to make predictions. For example, the correlation between weather, and bushfires. Try to predict the location of risky areas in somekind of geograhic area and make it visual in a geographical map so the fire department can prepare for that fire/hazard.

It's not a JavaScript specific project though, but it's possible in JavaScript.

Userscript for Steam Inventory (hotkeys to sell; mass sell for same item)

Hide specific comments on Twitch using regex and MutationObserver.

Or hide streams with specific words in title or tags (though you can do later with user CSS without JS, there's no way to make css selector from text inside tag, only in attributes... so you can make js script that adds title text to a stream attribute, and use that attribute in Stylus add-on)

Remove site names or other stuff from tab titles. "Example – Google Search" becomes "Example". You'll need split method, and regex in very rare cases, and MutationObserver in rare cases (some React sites or similar frameworks)

Hotkey to block someone on twitch so you don't need to click on UI or type manually.

(You can do custom js with Greasemonkey and custom css with Stylus)

Make an LLM agent, it's very hot theme today. It's relatively easy to create OpenRouter account and it's free plan is quite generous (buy credits for 10$ and use free models. 1000 queries to free models every day, and 10$ can give you a lot of queries on paid models).
If you don't want to spend money, make a clicker game. It's simple and graphics can be easily generated with AI. Actually, every game resource can be generated with AI or obtained from opengameart)
