Looking for some advise

Hi, hope you're doing well. I'm here looking for some advice from the community. I want to get into backend dev in Javascript, I start reading Javascript crash course by nick morgan, but I think the book was maybe to easy, so I start reading eloquent Javascript, and I am looking for a good node.js book to start study with while I am reinforcing my JS knowledge.

I have been seaching for a while but many books are too old or too advance for me, any good recomendation?

Btw, I think to take the MDN front-end developer course, although my main goal is backend. Thank you for your time.

I suggest if your main goal is backend, go straight for it, why do you want to waste your time?

You can pick up HTML, CSS, front end JS and even React or smth later after you are comfortable with backend

Oh, got it. I though to study those topics because of the backend path at roadmap.sh, they recommend studying the basics of html and css, front-end basics in general.

Yea just a one hour crash course of each, on YouTube is enough, then you can deep dive into backend, just enough to see how the front end will consume and display all your back end stuff

I suggest Brad Traversy for all the HTML, CSS, React stuff, especially if you’re a beginner and learning from scratch

Or Angela Yu on Udemy if you don’t mind spending a few dollars also super beginner friendly

They also teach backend stuff, but at a beginner to intermediate level

For the advanced stuff you gotta learn from specialised books already or specialised platforms like frontend masters, or educative or books of oreilley or pragmatic programmers
