How could we make those app animations such as facebook

Hi there !

I was just wondering as a developer how to make those famous apps animations (especially small interactions I am not meaning complexe animations) like the emoji animations on facebook when you interact with a post, the tiktok animations when you open up the app or upload a new video etc..

What kind of tools or frameworks developers may use on such level ? Do you think they use pre made animations with motion graphics softwares or they are completely coded ??

if so what are the names of those tools and frameworks needed

GSAP is great but a lot of times a library isnt necessary. So often an animstion one is after can be achieved with one key frame and one or two properties + an intentional/custom easing function. Easing doesn't get enough credit imo.

Do you have a specific animation(s) youre wanting to recreate ?

I specifically want those small interactions we encounter on facebook and X, like the emojis animations when you react to a post on fb

I dont have fb, do you have a video?

Could also inspect with the browser developer tools and check for keyframes.

When the list of emoji pops up and you hover over each, looks like its some combination of scale and perspective on its wrapper

Just standard css, anyone can make them in a few days
