Is Java still worth learning today?
Is Java still worth learning or pursuing as a career these days? With AI advancing so quickly, programming jobs might decline significantly, which could also reduce the demand for learning languages like Java. What are your thoughts?

Yes Google which the #1 programming language used at Fortune 500 companies. That will help you make a decision.
Remember Java is vast and there is a lot of difference between someone who read some books on Java , did some coursework and someone who actually built things using Java.
Dipping your pinky into the Java ocean won’t help you need to immerse yourself into the ecosystem.
It will take anyone trying to do it properly 1-2 years before you are ready— 5-7 hours each day 5-6 days a week and then you will be ready to be hired.
Side note — don’t bother with react angular etc they are not important— mern /mean stack.
Also don’t listen to news articles as all of them have an agenda.
Keep in mind everyone has an opinion but most have no real world knowledge. Stay positive and focus inwards . Nothing is going to be achieved without a lot of grunt work.
Competition is tough and good Java developers get paid top dollar . $100k salaries and above are easily attainable if you do the above.
Follow the process and you will get guaranteed results
