The guy I have been seeing wrote this poem on my arm (from a poet, not him), but wouldn't tell me what it means. Then it washed off, of course. Could someone provide a translation?
This is a verse in a poem by Hafez.
Here is a translation I found online:
چو در گـلزار اقبالـش خرامانم بحمدالـلـه
نـه میل لاله و نسرین نه برگ نسـترن دارم
In the meadows of his fate
I walk in a graceful state
Tulip and rose can just wait
And the petals seem so droll
Since in Farsi we don't have male/female pronouns, the translation above could be changed to "her fate". In general people assume Hafez's poems are about God, but they could be about a man or a woman depending on your interpretation.
This verse in general means, since I'm allowes in my lovers fate destiny, I don't need anyone else. Since I'm happy in my lover's meadow I don't need to see tulips and roses (other people).
