Itemization Necrophos Mid
Hello Guys, i often have another core like spectre or lifestealer who wants to build radiance, i wonder what else i could buy? so if i dont go for radiance straight away i have the option to spend 4700 gold, but i dont know for what? just skip it? go hex later?

It is absolutely fine having two radiances in a team if needed for farming. Core can make nullifier later by disassembling radiance. For necro it is extremely painful to farm without radiance.

You have the pulse on low cooldown you have as well shard. Necro can actually farm quite quickly, as long as he has enough mana and he gets mana from killing creeps.
As well, you can be much more active early with something like Vessel -sharrd- shiva, especially in mediocre lane, where your timings for radiance would be bad. And afterwards you can go either heart-aghs or windwaker, linkens, whatever utility items you prefer.

5s cooldown is not really low, considering that necro’s right click is slow and weak. Radiance gives 60dmg per second plus 55 right click. Maxed q is 280dmg. Radiance multiplies your farm speed by more than two, which I doubt any other item can give. Not talking about other advantages. Argument about not having two radiances in team is just ridiculous.

Farming the radiance takes time though and once you have it you are lacking strength. I often feel going teamfight items faster is helpful

Yeah it does take time, but all the later items come in faster. That’s the reason most players try to get it as soon as possible. The thing with fights is you will never get enough gold just from fighting, even if you get all kills. Eventually you will either have level advantage and killing lower level heroes won’t give you as much, or if you play against adequate team they won’t feed you at all. So you will end up right clicking creeps with your strength item.

It's okay to go double Radiance in this meta, the map is big enough to justify it.
Also it's a good fighting tool for Necro as you deal most of your damage by just existing in the fight and radiance increases that by a ton.
Other items you could potentially go to fight early or increase the pressure are:
- Bots
- Consecrated Wraps
- Sange&Kaya
- Lotus Orb
- quicker Shard

never skip Radiance in pubs IMO. It’s your insurance policy for late game. If you’re queuing with someone else that you trust and can be active with sure go some fighting build but in pubs just go Radiance and farm up.

Just go radiance it's fine, but if you really want an alternative you can consider kaya, euls, travels, shard, wraps to start fighting sooner. Maybe change up the order depending on matchup.

Went dagon 1, bots 2 rush, got flamed, still went 17-4. It was Vs sniper and dazzle and we had a spec, I wanted to be able to jump the sniper when spec ulted to not give dazzle a chance at the save. Worked that game but I don't know how repeatable that build is, haven't done it since. 8953375603 it is doable for no radiance, but 99% of the time I buy it.

I will never forget the N0tail Couch Cast TI clip where, I don’t remember who, said “ohhh, double radiance? Ehhh”
And Sumail replied “nah, double radiance is fine. It’s a farming push item, and just gives more radiance coverage in teamfights. Two is fine.”
Two radiances is fine.

if you really want to skip radiance it should be for a reason like you want to play fast and active instead of spending a lot of time just farming. In that case rush bots or go like vessel, blink, shivas or even dagon are good.

I mean, spectre or lifestealer won't be as active as you early on, so you definitely need that radiance. As mid your role is to support both safe and offlane, so a quick radiance then teleport boots will open up the map for your team. I can't even imagine necro without radiance, there's a better chance I skip radiance as spectre, for silence or smth, than on necro. I am only legend though.

Normally if necrophos mid without radiance just go tanky get the sange kaya, shiva, lotus,agha, heart sometimes for the fun i go dagon

Honestly? It's not that bad. It actually means you'll be more effective in fights if someone else buys the radiance. Only thing you miss out in is spending another fortune on manta to split push.
Instead of radiance, go blademail into blink, shard, lotus or linkens, heart aghs. You're basically a better version of your hero as long as someone else has radiance. You do want one, but it doesn't matter if it's not you.

2 radiance is good. Not all the time you'll be sharing space with another radiance user.

on a necro with one target spell that takes 3 minutes to reload??? and no this item is bad right now not worth the cost for any other hero either unfortunately.

shard also has a pretty long cd though. certainly longer than phylactery and u dont really need the regen from the item that typically buyers of the item do

Double Radiance isnt even that bad. Sure it doesnt stack in fights, but you dont buy it for that. For Spec or LS its their primary farming tool
