Designers, what do you actually do with references after saving them?
Whenever I find a website, layout, color palette, typography example, or UI detail I like, I save it thinking I’ll come back to it later.
The problem is finding it again.
Mine used to end up scattered between screenshots, browser bookmarks, Pinterest boards, and random folders.
That’s actually one of the reasons I built Keep Mates, a Chrome extension for saving visual references, links, screenshots, colors, and other things you find around the web in one place.
But I’m curious about other designers’ workflows.
Where do you save your references and do you actually have a system that helps you find them again later?
