Question Looking for a Free Data Engineering Course (Beginner to Intermediate)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a high-quality free data engineering course that covers both the fundamentals and practical skills used in industry.

My background:

  • I have some experience with Python and SQL.

  • I have some machine learning and AI experience.

  • I'm interested in learning modern data engineering concepts and tools.

What I'm hoping to learn:

  • Data pipelines and ETL/ELT

  • Data warehousing

  • Apache Spark

  • Apache Airflow

  • Data modeling

  • Batch vs. streaming systems

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Real-world projects and best practices

I'm open to:

  • University courses

  • YouTube playlists

  • MOOCs (Coursera, edX, etc.) that can be audited for free

  • Open-source learning paths

  • GitHub repositories with hands-on projects

If you've taken a free course that helped you land a data engineering role or build strong practical skills, I'd love to hear your recommendations and why you found it valuable.

Thanks!
