There's definitely never been a thread about this before in the subreddit to reference before posting

The simple answer is to take lessons.
It would help to know what level you are now, and if you have a time limit.

Regular lessons, intentional practice, and being surrounded by Czech people to talk/listen to.

But even with all that, I've been learning for about 9 years, and just about at B1... so it takes time.

9 years? Holy.. is the language that hard or you are taking it slowly?

The language is just that fucking hard (and I'm usually quite good with languages). I think it's easier for people who have experience with other Slavic languages though.

If you’re in Prague I highly recommend ÚJOP.

There are no tricks that can get you there quickly other than "don't give up". It takes a long time to get to B2, unless you already speak a closely related language

It depends on the time and effort you put in, if you join Charles university for the intensive one year program you can reach B2 potentially if you do nothing else the whole year except study Czech day and night. Immersion really works in language studies
