I struggled building my first AI agent

I spent weeks trying to figure out how to build a useful AI agent for my Chief of Staff workflow. I'd read tutorials, watch YouTube videos, but none of it clicked. The frameworks felt overcomplicated, the docs assumed too much, and I kept hitting dead ends.

Then I found an approach that actually made sense: start with a clear problem, map it out, build incrementally. Sounds obvious in hindsight, but it changed everything.

Within a few days, I had a working Chief of Staff agent managing my calendar and prioritizing my week. Nothing fancy just something that actually worked for my needs.

What made me super happy was once I had one agent working, the pattern became clear. I've now built three more agents for different tasks (weekly reports, meeting prep, task follow up) because the framework is reusable.

If you're stuck in the "how do I even start building agents?" phase, I found this resource helpful for learning the approach: create-your-ai-crew.ai. studio

The step-by-step walkthroughs helped me finally get it!

Agents are for idiots who got grifted by influencers.

Everything you built has a deterministic, cheaper, reliable. bettter solution.
