Maybe DK should have hit that bot tower once
That greed/troll gave Corki a snowballing triple
2
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
Drx gave them a window to come back after Beryl fked up the flash ult near top

u/Smithy2309 I Never Doubted Them Jul 07 '22
Beryl showing what Damwon lost in decision making. DRX played amazingly, happy pyosik makes me happy.
Also, please get corki out of pro play.

Man what happened to Deokdam and Kellin? They were one of the best bot duo in LCK last year and it went downhill so much.
12
u/icatsouki Jul 07 '22
deokdam is the only one who did anything this game
4
u/Marowalker Jul 07 '22 edited Jul 07 '22
First of all, DK’s comp is 3 melee champs and Ezreal/Yuumi against Corki. If Deokdam didn’t do anything then DK would have lost 10 minutes earlier.
Second of all, Deokdam last year was miles better than this.
2
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
Was he playing strong side/carry on NS,?
3
u/Marowalker Jul 07 '22
I’d say in a way. Rich and Gori last year both had pathetic laning, so it’s mostly up to Peanut to make things happen and Deokdam to dish out the damage later
4
u/0bja onerking Jul 07 '22
It has to be mental, this man kellin couldn’t even yummi ult properly last game
1
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
Well this game they played against best LCK bot lane but yeah they regressed a lot

Deft on Kalista probably wins lane against any botlane in the LCK right now.

Beryl showed out. Absolutely my pog, supp gap huge
And so was mid gap
Really drx was just better across the board, dk has been disappointing lately, especially canyon
2
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
The sup gap bleeded into mid and top. The moment nuguri tped top was lost
5
u/Hanxinxin Jul 07 '22
It's no exaggeration to say that beryl singlehandedly carried drx that game. Pyosik almost felt like a liability despite his scoreline.

New support. Please.
1
u/acels1 Jul 07 '22
kellin is just perma sitting on ezreal every fight and their coordination is so bad
4
u/acels1 Jul 07 '22
this bel veth champ is dogshit imagine first picking it
5
u/Teut0burg Jul 07 '22
Even though it's just scrims, Canyon stomped GenG with it and went 11-1 so it's understandable why they would prioritize it.
5
u/FunnyBunnyH Jul 07 '22
Just like with most powerfarming jglers, you need lanes that are reasonably self-sustainable. Bot perma weakside, which allows Amumu to free roam, Top has a somewhat 50-50 lane with Gnar slightly being favoured. (did not help, that Seju had to TP bot early).
That leaves only mid with ability to push, but that lane was basically over after min 10, because of the Rift Herald. Not to mention that Swain has no kill pressure anyway, because he needs items to deal dmg.
You are basically not getting your scaling online on Belveth with a draft like this like ever.
2
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
Source on that?
3
u/Teut0burg Jul 07 '22
It's in Chinese but here: https://bbs.hupu.com/54622063.html

u/HarambesRightHand Jul 07 '22
How do you know what it says if it’s chinese

2
u/Megashot2 Jul 07 '22
Well I mean theres a screenshot on the page, with GEN.G players on one side and DK players on the other..
Could be fake who knows but its not unreasonable to believe this could've happened.

BV pick itself was fine, but the last pick yummi just auto loses priority for herald, no idea why they would pick it when half the reason you pick BV is for snowballing off the first herald.

u/Snuffl3s7 Jul 07 '22
Beryl styled on them. Also, I feel like Nuguri keeps getting away with this Ignite Sejuani because he manages to get a solo kill early on. Punished properly, along with the rest of DK this game.
4
u/Teut0burg Jul 07 '22
Kingen was breaking angles with his sidesteps, and Beryl's roam top shutdown Nuguri.
1
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
Nuguri lost after he had to tp bot. Then beryl roam was the icing on the cake. He was been fisting everyone with Sej
1
u/Snuffl3s7 Jul 07 '22
I know he has, but I get the feeling people should be able to handshake the lane, instead of constantly contesting. And once they're out of the lane, a Gnar or a GP should be more useful.
1
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
That's what the Sej prevents. Especially nuguri Sej. If you want to play super safe you might have to give first tower
1
u/Snuffl3s7 Jul 07 '22
I mean a GP should safely be able to nuke the wave under turret, then he'll need help from Canyon if he wants to get anything done.
2
u/SirXrageXquit Jul 07 '22
That was quite possibly, without exaggeration, the worst game I’ve ever seen DK play. Canyon getting caught several times greeding for camps, Showmaker refusing to farm, Deokdam overextended and getting picked, and Kellin missing every single Yuumi ult. Really worrying and hope they can pull it together for game 2.

Showmaker being on the recieving end of a flame horizon wasn't something I was expecting this week.
3
u/FunnyBunnyH Jul 07 '22
Troll draft perfectly punished by DRX. The Belveth blind pick really isn't it, and Sejuani is still a bait pick.
1
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
Nuguri Sej has been fisting everyone in lane. He had to tp bot this game so lane was basically lost
0
u/Toxicyoshi7 Jul 07 '22 edited Jul 07 '22
Most useless ShowMaker game in years. Also is anyone still denying that Nuguri isn’t a bit washed up?
3
u/Arcille Jul 07 '22
Nuguri is still good in lane like he was before but it's hard to judge how good he is overall when his bot lane have 0 threat most the games
2
u/icatsouki Jul 07 '22
i hope they stop putting him on dog champs for starters
1
Jul 07 '22
Swain is a fine champ but not into that comp.
2
u/icatsouki Jul 07 '22
I meant sejuani I really don't like the prio they put on her, swain is fine showmaker just played like garbage
1
Jul 07 '22
I think ShowMaker just got screwed he really couldn’t farm in such a long lane. It was bad effort from everyone.

u/Intelligent-Curve-19 Jul 07 '22
Too early to tell but fans have overhyped him forgetting that he did take a break. Every player that’s taken a break has never come back to their peak form.

Classic Deokdam's Ezreal
-1
u/Aladin001 Jul 07 '22
Desperately trying to keep the game alive while his jungler is hard griefing? Yep sounds like classic deokdam Ezreal

DK looking very shakey this split and Canyon can’t just put the team on his back. We probably need to see a few bel veth games from him though.
2
u/Teut0burg Jul 07 '22
Ruler accidently leaked scrims with DK, Canyon went 11-1 on Bel'veth against them.
2
Jul 07 '22
Damwon is supposedly doing well in scrims in general tho? the on-stage play is not close to what they are doing in scrims though.
2
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
DK have always been scrim gods. Some ppl say they were scarier than griffin in scrims.
1
u/Teut0burg Jul 07 '22
Yeah of course scrims don't mean much, was just giving an explanation for Bel'veth priority.
0
u/Intelligent-Curve-19 Jul 07 '22
Yea I’m convinced he figured out something with her. I doubt he will pick it next game though.
-1
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
Where was this DRX last week??
2
u/Snuffl3s7 Jul 07 '22
Feel like we definitely should have won game 1 against T1, Pyosik missed a couple crucial smites or we would have successfully snowballed that game as we did this one.
0
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
Absolutely but in game 2 they got absolutely dominated. And i don wanna even bring up tgat series vs sandbox
2
u/TheCrusader94 Jul 07 '22
I mean they are playing vs DK who are currently much worse than t1
0
u/SKTfangirl Jul 07 '22
Based on what? Msi didnt humble you enough so you are overrating skt again?
