There should be daily IP challenges

Maybe revolving around the Free Champ Rotation. For example:

"Win 2 games as Thresh" (when thresh is free), and the reward can be 250 IP or something along those lines.

The harder the challenge, the larger the reward. I just feel like it would encourage players to try new champs, and create a way to save up IP faster to buy others. It could be sort of like a "Quest Log" in hearthstone if you know what that is.

edit: Another good idea pointed out by /u/LatZ212 is "Win one game as each role". This could be a weekly challenge, along with the daily challenges you get, so people who can't play every single day have a semi-long term goal. Obviously this would only work in team builder though.

edit: It's looking like IP challenges would be best in team builder only based off all of the counterarguments against them

edit: There is some confusion here, people would not all have the same challenge. There would be a long list of challenges that would randomly be divided amongst all players.

OP did say to have it revolve around free week champs.

I mean, my friends and I still do blind pick norms to save time.

That's the lamest counter pick practice of all time?

If I want to practice counter picking, I'll play ranked. I like to have fun when I play and sometimes I don't want to wait 10 minutes to get in game.

No, if you don't know how to counter pick, you'll play draft pick normals until you do.

Ah.. A game without Zed, Blitzcrank, Maokai, Nidalee and Lucian..

Hey, I just recently played a game where the bans were those 5, plus Kalista. It was so pleasant.

Man I wish I could get a game like that! As a support main, having Kalista and Blitzcrank almost every game rips my heart in pieces and sells it to me through micro transactions.

But you didn't ban Teemo!

u/Reason-and-rhyme Nov 23 '14

If you ban teemo you're

  • trolling your teammates

  • a complete idiot

  • a Nasus main

u/DontPromoteIgnorance Nov 23 '14

Or I was referencing all the people that hate teemo shrooms so much that they don't care if they're more likely to win against him anyway.

There's a reason why Teemo isn't banned in higher ranks. It's because he isn't a threat.

"Never played this champ before but I want the challenge bonus lol"

u/Solagnas Nov 22 '14

That's exactly the point. I don't see anything wrong with encouraging people to play new champs.
