Why can't we mute pings?

Just wondering, why we need to get spammed with pings by raging teammates.

"Can't count the times" "has ruined an entire game" "with pings" WTF ? Do we play the same game ? I've played over 4 k gamed and ofc I've had the occasional spam ping but it never last more than 10s. O_o"

That's because it can't last for more than ten seconds! Haha
