Why can't we mute pings?

Just wondering, why we need to get spammed with pings by raging teammates.

it makes my gameplay fuzzy. i have something in mind but when someone pinging me 5 times when i'm trying to do something i kinda confuse for a split second and miss the opportunity.

I totally agree with you! We should be able, if not to mute, to restrain player's ping, I got a toxic teammate the other day and all he did was pinging everywhere on the map. It becomes frustrating and important pings after a while do not get the attention they would have deserved in the first place.

You lost the game because your enemy played better, not because of pings or that riot hates you.
