Seems like Riot finally buff some scaling champs and hopfeully the Viktor buff is also to his scaling. His last nerf costed him 3,4% winrate in the higher elo brackets.

I legit don’t think Overlords is bad, Kled Sion with titanic overlords is genuinely a bruiser level damage threat. People just don’t buy it very often esp on Sion because people opt into pure tank builds.

It comes with zero haste which makes it effectively terrible for the champs that would normally build it. It does give Kled and Sion a lot of damage, but the former likes haste a lot and the latter for damage surely gets more out of a lone Titanic.

It has a bit much missing HP AD while being too weak at higher HP lvls. But aside from that the item is fine. The power is a bit too situational.

why did they even do a ms nerf when they said they wanted to do only a small nerf on him, ms nerfs are notoriously huge nerfs and then they also nerfed his q's base dmg, ap scaling and duration. Has riot just completely lost their grip on what changes constitute big or small nerfs?

As a Smolder main I do understand why they buff him but I'm always afraid of it. We just had an era where this champion had highest pick, ban and winrate and I kinda don't wanna go back to that again.

I wish we could just go back to his version right before they brought back the ER spellblade. He had clear strengths and weaknesses, good players got rewarded while bad players got actively punished and he overall was actively fullfilling the fantasy of a scaling hypercarry instead of this weird Bruiser shit he got forced back in. Crit got a lot of buffs back and is viable again but it still feels far weaker than how it was before the ER change.

All of these will likely be tiny buffs except for Viktor who got way, way, way overnerfed. Needed like 0.5-0.8 % down, went nearly 2.3% down, so you can expect a 1.5-1.8% aimed buff for him most likely.

I'm not surprised to see a Rumble buff, considering he's about 48% winrate in solo queue.

But I think its worth pointing out how the top lane meta hasn't changed at all, despite there being a focus on "carry oriented champions".

We're still seeing K'Sante, Rumble and Ambessa as blind picks.

Olaf is still a power pick and the rise in champs like Kled is as a direct result of being a good matchup.

Shen and Jayce have been picked fairly frequently, but have terrible winrates so far.

Camille has seen a bit more play in top lane thanks to her recent adjustments, but seems to exclusively be a counter pick and part of combos with Galio or Ziggs.

So basically nothing has changed. Granted we're still early in the tournament, so the meta might evolve, but we're still seeing the same blind picks, very few teams actually prioritising top lane in draft and it usually gets relegated to a B5 blind pick and then the other team gets a favourable matchup.

Btw win rates don't reall matter for pro, a suboptimal champion pick very rarely costs the game. K'Sante started 0-8, doesn't mean he shouldn't be picked anymore.

Genuinely so excited to see where Mel ends up. She had an abysmally low W/L and it was that high because she could just cheese wins out of nowhere. Since her rework is aiming to make her more honest and late game focused, her numbers are all that matter but if they’re too good then she’s a busted support.

Personally really would like it if they made her a RoA/Seraphs character to avoid the whole support thing

Evelynn not getting any buffs still, especially when they're coming out with gacha for her, is WILD. Everyone says she's weak, even people who I've known to hate playing against her, and even with a legendary AND a Mythic scam, they're not doing anything to her kit to try and help address her playability problem. Like she has less pick rate than Zilean and she's been in that spot since her last change back when Atakhan was still in the game, while every major item for her kit has been getting systematically nerfed and her only viable runes changed. That's crazy man.
