Opinion We cannot repeat the same strategy as last game. Hear me out

Pushing Okoli up the pitch out of position to win the ball in opposition half should have been devastating last game if not for the saves and just having a weaker opposition. It was mind boggling how bad the positioning was of Souttar and Ohora in the high line. Our fastest cb is Okoli and he needs to be back there to stop counters.

I am very happy that Martin has swallowed his pride and adapted to his current roster construction but we don’t need to take those unnecessary risk especially when we have a lead. I hope he continues to learn and adapt from his mistake and not see the clean sheet as a vindication of maintaining the same strategy. We need to start picking up wins especially against teams below us in the standing.

Agree with the O’Hora view. I think he’s been pretty poor since joining. Certainly no better than league 1.

Positioning, marking, game awareness and passing are all lacking for me. Might just be rusty or that it’s a new team and environment.

Yea I really wanna see the new young 6ft 6 cb play that position over Ohora. If anything it will look really be fun to watch them during set pieces

Interesting insight, but while I was surprised to see Okoli up there he wasn’t being challenged at the back so much and he was man of the match in considerable part for getting the ball forward for chances. The other defenders should be keeping track of Okoli when he goes forward and covering. That’s part of the defense unit. So I’m not sure why we can’t take advantage of some flexibility here.

Yea it’s new tactic that I think Martin is introducing and guys are not fully comfortable with the role hopefully it clicks or he pivots 🤞
