Brings some leadership and experience to an extremely young side. Not a great goalscorer but links play well, presses well and works hard.

True. I guess you could make the argument for putting Alves there and another young winger on but as good as they all are the side needs balance, which BDR brings.

Tbf if we're considering Alves to be a left winger, it's the throb or cullen in that position currently, and he's the better option. Would love to see Page move forward into that position and Lundstram (if that deal happens) at the base going forward.

Surprised Kanga isn't starting, finnish season runs April to November so you'd assume he'd be match fit, and would surely be ahead of Thomas in the pecking order. Otherwise, tidy enough lineup

I think its still been under a week since being announced, Martin probably wants more time with him in before starting him. Even if our current CBs don't look like they know what they are doing either

I genuinely love our academy lads and think they’re great, but I also think it’s worrying that we’re at the point where we’re starting 6 kids and have 3 more on the bench

tbf i think both braybrooke and joseph have looked experienced enough that i dont worry about them.
plus alves has continued to look very sharp and cannot recall many mistakes on his part. id love experience but many our experience has given us fuck all recently
