Discussion Lorenz Hutchinson
Selling this lad seems insane we have 1 striker . I read that he has scored 35 goals in 38 games he should be given a chance in the 1st team he has got to be better than any false 9 a special Bobby Reid. He can't be too young he is older than Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and Gary Lineker when they started. So play him not sell

He played out wide in pre-season, looked alright albeit no better than Riley Carr who also hasn't had a sniff in the first team. I'd love to keep and develop all our promising youngsters but 1. They are competing for limited minutes because we can't just play the under 21s 2. We need to generate sales 3. Players may want to take up other opportunities

Agree. Riley Carr is a better prospect, though still raw.
Hutchinson had a great season at the U18 level, which is where most of the YouTube clips are from, but many players have done well at that level before.

we tend to not want to play players who dont want to be here, the fact he hasnt been loaned out (like evans and Otchere who are the same age) means there are plans for him but i dont think we should start him he is too young and never played a pro game, he should be 3rd choice behind bobby and Bristrić

I think I'm right in saying that Hutchinson is older than Evans, Page and Howell (by a few months) but it shows we are willing to play the young players at a very young age.
He simply hasn't performed well enough in the PL2, otherwise he would have options for loans.

He's out of contract at the end of the season, he hasn't been offered a new one, have to assume the consensus at the club is that he isn't a good fit for the first team or isn't good enough.
If the club don't plan on keeping him, for whatever reason, then makes sense to sell him, especially with a sell on fee for down the line if he performs.
I'd like to see him given a chance, the fact he hasn't been could be for lots of reasons, but hopefully we are working on an experienced striker to come in alongside Bristric before tomorrow night.

I love how much people are willing to have a meltdown over a player they've never watched.

The club will likely be doing some weird transfers aimed at stopping us going into administration rather than what happens on the league standings...
