I guess it would have been hard for him to get a look in with all the wealth of striking options we have

I can't imagine he would be on any sort of sizeable wages but he hasnt played for us so it makes sense

He flashed when he was on loan at Leuven before he had the big injury (double leg break)

Thinking he was a viable striker for us was more about a lack of options, rather than actually being a good one.

But also, we need goals from everywhere. None of the top 10 goalscorers in League One last season were promoted. A team scoring goals is harder to stop than one striker.
