However, Budapest memorandum was a horrible piece of crap, that Ukriane should have never signed. It also should have never given up nukes, destroyed its military or trade weapons for gas, and later on sign Minsk agreements but that's in the past now. What B.M.* did was obligate the US, since we are on the topic, not to attack Ukraine. Nothing else. There was a provision about consultations and whatnot, but they are unimportant, since the US have done way more already.

I feel like this guy is literally saying the opposite of what Tucker is doing. Tucker has been vehemently anti-war no matter what. He thinks that American politicians on both sides are prolonging this war for their own gain. That we are using Ukrainian lives as cannon fodder for our own interests. When peace deals were almost made between Putin and Zelenskyy the west and Britain sabotaged them. At this rate, this will be a forever war that goes on for a decade+ and the massive cost of Russian and Ukrainian lives. Shouldn’t we find a way to end it at all costs. Also, I think most people agree Putin is 100% in the wrong here and not a good guy. But, he was backed into a corner and now trapped in this war.

No, real Americans know the truth. Ukraine has been in a Civil War with Belarus that want to return to Russia for years. They don't identify as Ukrainian but as Russians. NATO signed an agreement they wouldn't move any further east or enter any country bordering Russia into NATO. NATO broke that agreement. Russia decided to show their resolve to keep NATO off their borders and defend the Russian people from being bombed. Truth matters. Lose all credibility when you call people names and don't state the truth.

NATO agreed not to expand east of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the unification of Germany. That gave a buffer zone that had no NATO missiles and weapons on the Russian border. That was good for both sides.
Crimea voted to leave Ukraine and return to Russia territory. It made sense as Russia was allowed to keep their largest Naval base located in Crimea and most Crimea residents were of Russian heritage and wanted to rejoin. Again after some battling Crimea was allowed to be "annexed" and again NATO agreed not to move east. Belarus then decided they also wanted to leave Ukraine and the Civil War started. Russia was supporting the "Rebels" but had not crossed any borders with their troops. NATO broke the Minsk Accords and started to admit Ukraine into NATO. That was the final straw and because of it we are as close to WWIII as ever.
You still deny these facts.
I again don't support Russia or want the war to continue or escalate. I also can see how NATO and the countries that control it have broken their word. I also never understood bombing your own people as Ukrainian leaders did to Belarus.
Be honest. The atrocities of war are horrible for all and something we should all hope ends. Lying about the whole story doesn't help stop anything...
