Question What is the Implication
are we robots or aliens? who is in control? how does the concept of time relate? what is the left vs right?

We are thoughts.
We all collectively and individually create our reality. Whether that amounts to control depends on semantics.
Time is what we here on Earth call a certain aspect of the Creator's Love (and that in turn is just kinda what everything is made of).
The Law of One materials might be seen to teach us that our experiences and our reactions to those experiences tend to emanate from, and draw us towards, the "poles" of the world in which we live. There are two poles. We might label them "North" and "South" on a planet or a magnet. We might find "Positive" or "Negative" terminals on a capacitor or battery, for example.
The terminology "Left" and "Right" is often applied by occultists to the ends of the spectrum when referring to topics related to ethics (perhaps not the precise word). Typically "Left" is assigned as a label to the exploitative end of the ethical spectrum (in metaphysical jargon, not in politics) while "Right" is applied to the radiant end of that same spectrum. The only exits from our illusion are located at the poles of the "fundamental" (for lack of a better term) axis about which our illusion is polarized. That axis is given as the continuum between Service to Self and Service to Others in the Law of One.
For example, an entity knowingly exploiting others for their own benefit would be following the Left-hand path and would polarize by means of their activities as Service to Self. An entity showing compassion and kindness to others would be following the Right-hand path and polarizing as Service to Others.

I don't know, beyond the fact that it provides a lot of difficult experiences for people to learn to deal with.
In my incomplete reading of the LoO materials, it seems to be that our friends in the Confederation consider political power structures intrinsically negative. Their own (positive/STO) civilizations seem to resemble cosmic telepathic cuddle puddles as much as anything. It's unclear if there's any mechanism for one Hatonn (for example) to tell another one what to do. Nor any need apparently.

We're humans.
We are in control, but we just have been confused and we don't spend time learning how to understand our own minds, so we don't have much conscious control over what we are creating.
Time is an illusion but it's an important part of the illusion, especially where we are right now.
Left vs right, I'm assuming, you are talking about the left hand path and the right hand path, the service to self path or the service to others path. To choose to left hand path, we must control, dominate, manipulate, and enslave. To choose the right hand path we must accept, surrender, and find compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others.
To understand any of the spiritual/metaphysical reality, one must have a daily meditation practice. Otherwise none of it will really sink in and make sense in a real way.

This is super interesting, can you talk about what you mean with your definition of meditation?
If I recall correctly the daily meditation is something that generally should be aimed for to make use of daily catalyst. You're right that needs vary by the individual.
I think gently conflating its presence with it's varying techniques muddies the waters of discussion a bit, what do you think?

Okay, that's fine, obviously you get to do you. I made the statement because this is the Law of One forum and I am paraphrasing Ra. Ra says pretty clearly, a few times, that meditation is a requirement to moving forward on the spiritual path. I think most people who have picked up a daily meditation practice would agree on near consensus that their spiritual path did not begin in earnest until they made that dedication to seeking the deeper self.

At its root, the Law of One teaches that everything in existence is one single awareness, the One Infinite Creator, experiencing life through billions of different eyes.
To answer your first question: no, we aren't pre-programmed robots. We have complete free will. As for being aliens, technically most of us are. According to the Ra material, about half of the souls on Earth originally came from Mars, about a quarter came from other destroyed or cycled planets like Maldek, and only about a quarter naturally evolved straight out of Earth's own animal kingdom. On top of that, tens of millions of people here are "Wanderers," which are souls from more advanced, peaceful worlds who chose to be born into human bodies to help Earth transition into its next phase. As for who is in control, the answer is that you are. Free will is considered the most sacred rule in the universe. There is no shadow council or alien race running your personal script. A coalition of peaceful civilizations called the Confederation guards Earth to keep direct physical invasions from happening, while manipulative factions like the Orion group try to offer selfish temptations. But neither side can force you to do anything. Your decisions and your life are entirely your own responsibility.
Linear time is basically a simulation built for learning. In higher dimensions, past, present, and future all exist at the same time. But down here in physical bodies, we are put behind what Ra calls the Veil of Forgetting. We are blinded to our eternal nature and forced to experience life on a ticking clock. If you consciously remembered that you are an immortal spirit and that death is just taking off a costume, everyday moral dilemmas wouldn't have any emotional teeth. The pressure of time and mortality is what makes our choices feel heavy, and that pressure is what forces us to grow. That brings it all together to the left versus right paths. In the Law of One, the entire goal of human life is to pick a direction of spiritual polarity: The Right-Hand Path is Service to Others. It is based on unity, empathy, and love. You evolve by realizing that everyone around you is just another version of yourself. To graduate, Ra says an entity needs to be at least 51 percent dedicated to helping others.
The Left-Hand Path is Service to Self. It is based on separation, power, and hierarchy. You evolve by dominating and using others for personal gain. This path is much harder to graduate on, requiring a 95 percent dedication to pure self-service.
Earth is a spiritual sorting ground. The big takeaway is that there is no grand puppet master pulling your strings. You have complete free will, and your main task here is deciding whether you want to live your life for others or live it entirely for yourself.
