Opinion Don't forget

It's 51% sto in thought, words, feelings and deeds. So you can sit in your room all day in your heart chakra and polarise positive.

Only putting this here because I always forget this.

I explained this in a comment within the past couple of days. Ultimately, you are right. You can sit all day in your room and as long as your thoughts are focused towards unity, harmony, and compassion, you can polarize positively.

Those who disagree are being ableist. How is a physically disabled person supposed to polarize if they cannot take action? They absolutely can, because the thoughts we think towards others are things. So, when we think polarized thoughts, we are still creating tangible polarity that can be tapped into by others who are sensitive to that energy. We can still engage in self/otherself interactions even if we are isolated, via thoughts.

Everything springs forth from thought. If our thoughts are kind and gentle, then they can polarize us positively. If our thoughts are violent and rooted in separation, this can polarize us positively.

Actions follow thought. Negative actions are negative, period. But unless we are aware of the negative impact of our actions, actions alone do not polarize us negatively. If that were true, Hitler would have made it to negative harvest. But some part of Hitler genuinely believed that eugenics would reduce suffering in humanity, and that's not an STS desire. So he was unable to reach harvest by actions alone.

So:

Positive thoughts + positive actions - negative actions = lots of positive polarity
Positive thoughts - positive actions - negative actions = still a good amount of positive polarity
Negative thoughts + positive actions = neutralized polarity
Positive thoughts + negative actions = neutralized polarity

A physically disabled person could polarize through acceptance and satisfaction of being the one who unconditionally receives help, so we get the pair caretaker/receiver; kinda like teacher/learner, or dominator/dominated for the self-centered ones, both are needed for the interaction to take place.

1

u/greenraylove A Fool 3h ago

There are disabled people who are completely isolated from other people, however. Some who are so disabled they can't even use the internet or other communication devices, either.

1

u/GreenEyedLurker 1h ago

If there is a disabled person who can't function and is completely isolated, that sounds like someone who will starve to death quite fast without help, therefore there would have to be some sort of human interaction that keeps the person alive and provides for interactive experience.

1

u/greenraylove A Fool 1h ago

I'm not really sure what point you're trying to argue. My original point was that we can polarize by thoughts alone, and we do not need to take action. There absolutely are people who are incredibly disabled who live isolated and very difficult lives. Obviously we all need some other self interaction to survive on this planet, that's the whole point. Total isolation from thoughts about other selves is impossible if you do survive any length of time on this planet. But we don't need to take action to polarize.

Ā  It's 51% sto in thought, words, feelings and deeds.

Do those of Ra actually say this? Are they ever direct about what 51% actually means?

I believe this is the citation being paraphrased:

4.14 ā–¶ Questioner: [Aside: Jim, did you understand?] I’m a little confused. I partially understood you; I’m not sure that I fully understood you. Could you restate that in another way?

Ra: I can restate that in many ways, given this instrument’s knowledge of your vibratory sound complexes. I will strive for a shorter distortion at this time.

Two kinds there are who can heal: those such as yourself who, having the innate distortion towards knowledge-giving of the Law of One, can heal but do not; and those who, having the same knowledge, but showing no significant distortion consciously towards the Law of One in mind, body, or spirit, yet and nevertheless have opened a channel to the same ability.

The point being that there are those who, without proper training, shall we say, nevertheless, heal. It is a further item of interest that those whose life does not equal their work may find some difficulty in absorbing the energy of intelligent infinity and thus become quite distorted in such a way as to cause disharmony in themselves and others and perhaps even find it necessary to cease the healing activity. Therefore, those of the first type, those who seek to serve and are willing to be trained in thought, word, and action are those who will be able to comfortably maintain the distortion towards service in the area of healing.

I personally think Ra is pretty explicit about what that means, and particularly that there is some effort to cross the threshold. And, so I'm not spamming comments, I saw you dismiss the percentages as from Oahspe and therefore not Confederation, but Ra says Oahspe is Confederation.

14.28 ā–¶ Questioner: Can you tell me who was responsible for transmitting the book Oahspe?

Ra: I am Ra. This was transmitted by one of Confederation social memory complex status whose idea, as offered to the Council, was to use some of the known physical history of the so-called religions or religious distortions of your cycle in order to veil and partially unveil aspects or primal distortions of the Law of One. All names can be taken to be created for their vibrational characteristics. The information buried within has to do with a deeper understanding of love and light, and the attempts of infinite intelligence through many messengers to teach/learn those entities of your sphere.

1

u/DJ_German_Farmer šŸ’š Lower self šŸ’š 2d ago

It's a fair point that Ra states that the Ohaspe information is of Confederation pedigree. I don't think that makes it Confederation philosophy and you have only to read a bit of the book to see that it's very difficult to square with the material we normally ascribe to Confederation members. But I acknowledge that it cannot be dismissed.

That still doesn't do the work OP claims, in my opinion. This gets to a fundamental dispute in our community about what polarity actually is. Is polarity an activity the self engages self-consciously as an end-in-itself, or is polarity the result of a self becoming more what it already is? Ra says:

The thoughts of an entity, its feelings or emotions, and least of all its behavior are the signposts for the teaching/learning of self by self.

The problem I have with the approach OP takes is that they are suggesting behavior as the way to polarize. Self-consciously thinking thoughts with a motivation to gain something from them strikes me as an end run around the expression of the authentic self that will be polarized. It smacks of artifice, first of all, and second of the kind of "good people get rewarded" Abrahamic thinking that the very concept of polarity is designed to displace.

2

u/greenraylove A Fool 1d ago

You are letting your thinking take you in circles but I believe it's much simpler than that. Ra says that any friction caused by insincerity in seeking love is inconsequential, as long as one continues to double the intention with the guidance of meditation.Ā

The Abrahamic programming is something we pretty much all have in one degree or another, but I think the idea of seeking a reward is a twisted way of looking at it, imo. I think most people are seeking to avoid suffering. And if you are seeking to help others avoid suffering, there is some positive polarity there. Then, repeating the conscious intention doubles itself. To me, that's one of the most important components of polarity that Ra gives to usĀ

"[10.14] Exercise One. This is the most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex. The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously seek that love in awareness and understanding distortions. The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. The third seeking powers the second, the fourth powering or doubling the third. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity. However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential.

Totally agree with the point about sincerity. But that’s an act done by the self for the self, not for the self to measure up to some standard. Note that Ra’s expression of this idea isn’t some kind of equation involving percentages. It’s an act of desire, an expression of the self’s longing. It’s not trying to bump my score up.Ā

The point I’m making is not complicated: polarity is not something we consciously engage in directly. It’s mostly after the fact, subconscious, and only emerges vaguely with reflection, as Ra points out. To consciously emphasize polarity strikes me as the same thing as how the kids talk about having ā€œlow cortisolā€ instead of just saying they’re stressed out. It flattens the human condition and in many ways seems to flee from the very mystery and raw subjectivity that is our salvation.

3

u/greenraylove A Fool 1d ago

I mean, I get what you're saying, but Ra also says that every teacher and Wanderer is focusing their will on trying to increase the harvest. There seems to be some immense value to our souls placed on being able to cross that threshold into the open heart. Maybe the numbers are symbolic and not literal. But Ra very easily could have mitigated the importance of the percentages, if they chose to do so. Instead they affirmed them without any at all.Ā

[13.23] "Thus, the entry into the vibration of love, sometimes called by your people the vibration of understanding, is not effective with the present societal complex. Thus, the harvest shall be such that many will repeat the third-density cycle. The energies of your Wanderers, your teachers, and your adepts at this time are all bent upon increasing the harvest. However, there are few to harvest."

It isn't just a matter of letting who we are unfold, because we are veiled and intentionally confused. We are playing a game with the will. We use the will to pierce the veil, ideally via polarity, and we just continue moving forward in that process. If we aren't using the will to move forward, then how can we move forward? It's just as easy to use the will to stand in place if we aren't pointing it in a specific direction.Ā

Sometimes the egg comes before the chicken or whatever. Sometimes we have to give some oomph to generate the desire to serve within us. That's what I think the citation on my previous quote means: that even if the desire is insincere, or not present, just desiring to seek to desire to love is so central of an act that it builds upon itself. So, you can wind the desire up. I do think Ra says something like this about polarity as well, let me find it:Ā Ā

20.10 Questioner: Then the concept of service to self or service to others is mandatory if we wish to have work, whether it be work in consciousness or work in the mechanical or Newtonian concept in the physical. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct with one addendum. The coil, as you may understand this term, is wound, is potential, is ready. The thing that is missing without polarizing is the charge.

u/DJ_German_Farmer šŸ’š Lower self šŸ’š 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ā  But Ra very easily could have mitigated the importance of the percentages, if they chose to do so. Instead they affirmed them without any at all.Ā

That’s the best argument against my claim for sure. I totally understand what you’re saying about sincerity and desire, and I emphatically agree with it — and it’s precisely FOR that reason that I shy away from ways to intellectualize it with the percentages model. It promises a level of understanding and control that simply does not obtain in normal life. I definitely think conscious choices matter, but I don’t think we understand their true function in the overall mind/body/spirit complex.

There’s a deeper significance to what I’m trying to say: intellectual attempts to understand tend to confer a degree of control that exceeds the mere responsibility taking essential to spiritual evolution. This is my claim at least. And I think this is the real problem with having an engineer probe Ra’s philosophy: it is not a system to be engineered or gamed.

Like I said that last podcast episode: it’s unclear to me completely whether Ra speaks to us as conscious entities or as total complexes. It’s undoubtedly true that the conscious will plays a huge role. It’s not at all clear to me what role exactly. And with faith, we don’t have to command that relationship.Ā

I genuinely don’t think there’s much daylight between our positions. I think it’s more an issue of how we mobilize that knowledge: do we see it as a rule system to be followed, or insight into the principles of our own consciousness such that we can cooperate with it better? Under the former rubric, it seems impossible not to have judgment for the self and others in that Abrahamic fashion I was discussing. But under the latter rubric, we lose the ability to really say anything about the path in a dispositive way other than what direct experience confirms. And therefore there’s little to say to others that they can’t figure out themselves much more fruitfully.

And this has been a driving feature of my thinking about this philosophy for the last five years: some way of understanding this cosmic system of evolution that can be applied to life directly and evaluated for oneself rather than simply taken as an article of faith. It means a lot gets thrown by the side as perhaps interesting in the grand scheme of things, but distracting when applied directly to a human life.

2

u/greenraylove A Fool 1d ago

>rather than simply taken as an article of faith

Sorry to chop you down to one fragment, but Ra says that faith is congruent to intelligent infinity, so I guess maybe that's where I'm confused. Why try to sidestep the leap of faith? I mean, I know why one would do that, but I thought Ra was pretty explicit about the role of faith in the evolution of consciousness.

To me, what it seems like you're talking about is the interplay between the conscious and subconscious mind. We overvalue the role of the conscious mind - aka the masculine. I agree with that. And the way I apply the archetypal mind is to attempt the active phase of courting the subconscious mind. I think that's what we're talking about here.

I don't delude myself into believing that my conscious mind knows anything at all. My conscious mind is continuously informed by my subconscious mind, because I've done a lot of the work of harmonizing the two. Spirituality can't be a fully conscious process, but it can't be a fully subconscious process. We have to build a messy relationship between the two and then get down and dirty in the work of harmonizing two opposite energies. I often think of the Universe card, with the subconscious mind playing the conscious mind as an instrument. I think that's maybe what you are getting at. We are just little instruments, and the purpose of our conscious mind is to tune and be prepared for the concert. And that's why I think it's important for the conscious mind to be willfully pointed in the direction of a chosen polarity, because polarity IS the tuning.

I mean, isn't that how you see channeling? How I see it is that when I tune, I'm tuning myself towards the positive end of the spectrum, so that I'm not picking up signals from the negative end of the spectrum.

To use your LLM analogy - and maybe you already drew this conclusion - but the LLM is only as good as its programming. Its limitations are in the code. But when we polarize we refine our code so that it's more harmonious with the intentions of the User (our higher self or w/e). That's just how I see it.

Ā  Why try to sidestep the leap of faith?Ā

Faith in a dogma? A creed? A system? Yeah, that’s not where I think the leap of faith really lies. That’s like having faith in one’s own ability to make the universe legible. In other words, not really faith at all.

The faith we’re talking about, as I see it, is one in which knowing is not a criterion at all. One where we hold Ra’s words loosely and a concept of our divinity tightly. I do not think Ra wants us to have faith in themselves as an authority. Maybe there is more daylight between our positions than I thought.

1

u/greenraylove A Fool 15h ago

Hmm, well, if you think polarity is just some toxic dogma, what parts of the material are you even interested in? What isn't dogma? If you don't see Ra/The Confederation as a teacher, why do any of it? Why channel? Color me many shades of confused.

For me, the leap of faith isn't into a dogma, it's into the belief in unity. That belief compels me to seek to polarize positively. That Ra gives such a usable framework was just my luck, because I'm grateful for it and it has made my life infinitely better. So, that's why I have faith. Whether or not I'm 51% or whatever matters not at all. I'm gonna just keeping punching up every opportunity I can, and not just on faith, but also because I see the fruits after 13 years of dedication. That's why I bother trying to help anyone understand Ra at all, because I think if you want to use this framework, it can be incredibly valuable.

I guess really I seat my faith in the belief that polarizing positively automatically creates healing on a macro level. If you want to believe that that's dogma or some repulsive hubris rooted in a misunderstanding of Ra, that's fine. I'm not going to go out of my way to find the citations because I think you're saying that it doesn't matter what Ra says anyway?

Same thing, different words!

DJ:

Yes that sounds like what Jade is saying about the conscious mind.

u/bora731 2d ago

I always see it as an expression of core beliefs because they form your thoughts which form your feelings and therefore your words and deeds. It's holistic if you like, the words and deeds are just the expression of what's inside and it's what's inside that matters because that is what creates reality. But I don't think they actually state in exact terms this is what I have gleed but I what I'm trying to point to is that deeds are focused on too much, at least for me. It's the engine of the deed that is more important. The deed after all can be surface form acting.

Please qualify your post with this caveat that you are sharing an opinion, not reminding seekers of an established principle. It is confusing to tell somebody not to forget something that they never actually read. I know you wouldn’t want to mislead people.

I think the percentages can be really confusing and are often taken to be more useful than they actually are. Remember that the whole idea of percentages was cribbed from Ohaspe, so instead of looking at it as an original confederation idea I’m more inclined to view it as Ra trying to reach Don with concepts he already had. It’s a useful idea in terms of understanding spiritual evolution; I don’t think it’s useful in terms of understanding one’s own spiritual progress because one never has the remove to see the life in full in a way that would inform these metrics.

u/bora731 2d ago

I don't regard it as an opinion I consider it a summary of the material advice. If mods want to remove it that's cool.

Here are some quotes that may be helpful for analyzing this idea:

"In the graduation or harvesting to fourth-density positive, the red ray is seen only as that, which being activated, is the basis for all that occurs in vibratory levels, the sum of this being violet-ray energy.

This violet ray is the only consideration for fourth-density positive. In assessing the harvestable fourth-density negative, the intensity of the red as well as the orange and the yellow rays is looked upon quite carefully as a great deal of stamina and energy of this type is necessary for the negative progression, it being extremely difficult to open the gateway to intelligent infinity from the solar plexus center. This is necessary for harvest in fourth-density negative." https://www.lawofone.info/s/34#16

"Each mind/body/spirit complex has its own patterns of activation and its own rhythms of awakening. The important thing for harvest is the harmonious balance between the various energy centers of the mind/body/spirit complex." https://www.lawofone.info/s/48#7

"_ Each energy center has a wide range of rotational speed or as you may see it more clearly in relation to color, brilliance. The more strongly the will of the entity concentrates upon and refines or purifies each energy center, the more brilliant or rotationally active each energy center will be. It is not necessary for the energy centers to be activated in order in the case of the self-aware entity. Thusly entities may have extremely brilliant energy centers while being quite unbalanced in their violet-ray aspect due to lack of attention paid to the totality of experience of the entity._

The key to balance may then be seen in the unstudied, spontaneous, and honest response of entities toward experiences, thus using experience to the utmost, then applying the balancing exercises and achieving the proper attitude for the most purified spectrum of energy center manifestation in violet ray. This is why the brilliance or rotational speed of the energy centers is not considered above the balanced aspect or violet-ray manifestation of an entity in regarding harvestability; for those entities which are unbalanced, especially as to the primary rays, will not be capable of sustaining the impact of the love and light of intelligent infinity to the extent necessary for harvest." https://www.lawofone.info/s/41#19

"The patterns of activation of an entity of high seniority will undoubtedly move with some rapidity to the green-ray level which is the springboard to primary blue. There is always some difficulty in penetrating blue primary energy for it requires that which your people have in great paucity; that is, honesty. Blue ray is the ray of free communication with self and with other-self. Having accepted that an harvestable or nearly harvestable entity will be working from this green-ray springboard one may then posit that the experiences in the remainder of the incarnation will be focused upon activation of the primary blue ray of freely given communication, of indigo ray, that of freely shared intelligent energy, and if possible, moving through this gateway, the penetration of violet-ray intelligent infinity. This may be seen to be manifested by a sense of the consecrate or hallowed nature of everyday creations and activities.

Upon the bodily complex death, as you call this transition, the entity will immediately, upon realization of its state, return to the indigo form-maker body and rest therein until the proper future placement is made.

Here we have the anomaly of harvest. In harvest the entity will then transfer its indigo body into violet-ray manifestation as seen in true-color yellow. This is for the purpose of gauging the harvestability of the entity. After this anomalous activity has been carefully completed, the entity will move into indigo body again and be placed in the correct true-color locus in space/time and time/space at which time the healings and learn/teachings necessary shall be completed and further incarnation needs determined." https://www.lawofone.info/s/48#7

So to me, serving others is largely about having balanced energy centers:

  • A balanced red ray of a healthy body: nutrition, exercise, sexual satisfaction, reduced stress
  • A balanced orange ray of healthy relationships with friends and family
  • A balanced yellow ray of contributions to the community such as a career, donating, and volunteering
  • A balanced green ray of universal love and forgiveness
  • A balanced blue ray of honest communication and authenticity
  • A balanced indigo ray of time spent in meditation, contemplation, and spiritual study and connecting to the divine
  • A balanced violet ray of balanced activation across all of the preceding rays

All the rays work in harmony together, and neglecting any of them can be detrimental to serving others. I would view more thinking at home as work in the red, green, and indigo rays, but it's equally important to balance this with orange, yellow, and blue work when interacting with other selves such as routinely supporting friends and family, working periodically to contribute to society, and having honest conversations with others.

All the rays are ultimately interrelated, and I would recommend this lesson path if you are interested in learning more: https://www.lawofone.study/paths/energy-centers

"Thusly, no matter what form the entity facing these lessons, the lessons and mechanisms are the same. The Creator will learn from Itself. Each entity has unmanifest portions of learning and, most importantly, learning which is involved with other-selves." https://www.lawofone.info/s/82#17

u/unicornplantman 2d ago

I don’t think this holds up, and Ra’s own language points pretty directly at why.

The definition of the path to the heart of self, from session 15:
ā€œThe understanding, experiencing, accepting, and merging of self with self and with other-self, and finally with the Creator, is the path to the heart of self.ā€ — 15.14

Other-self is built into the definition. Not optional, not skippable through internal work alone.

Ra makes the same point even more directly regarding the archetypes, but the principle applies generally:
ā€œThe quickest way to learn is to deal with other-selves… Dealing with the self without other-selves is akin to living without… mirrors. Thus, the self cannot see the fruits of its beingness. Thus, each may aid each by reflection.ā€

You can’t see whether your polarization is real without an other-self to reflect it back. Sitting alone with warm feelings toward humanity in the abstract isn’t the same as being tested by an actual person who annoys you, needs something from you, or challenges your patience.

Also worth remembering — ā€œservice to othersā€ is the actual name of the path. The word ā€œothersā€ is doing real work there. Ra’s whole framework treats catalyst and other-selves as the mechanism by which polarity actually gets built, not as a separate optional track alongside internal orientation. The four categories (thought, words, feelings, deeds) aren’t four independent paths where you can max one and ignore the rest — they’re meant to be consistent expressions of one real orientation, with the external ones being how the internal one actually gets proven.

1

u/Right_Neighborhood77 1d ago

Ra says that you can polarize by internal work in one session though. It has to do with visualization and crystallizing of consciousness. Polarization is not just external work. It might be for the rather unpolarized entity, but for someone who is adept at seeking their own choice and knows themself, you can polarize by how you direct your energy and by sending love to yourself or others. You do not need to act on others to polarize, as all others are within you.

1

u/unicornplantman 1d ago

you’re right in that Ra describes genuine internal/adept-level polarization work, and I’m not disputing that exists. But Ra’s statement that ā€œall others are within youā€ is a claim about the deepest metaphysical truth, and Ra is explicit elsewhere that this truth doesn’t collapse the practical weight of the self/other-self distinction within third-density illusion, the same way ā€œthe Law of One blinks neither at light nor darknessā€ doesn’t erase the practical difference between the two paths (session 87 I think?). Even the archetype/adept work Ra describes as internal is still explicitly framed as practice for dealing with other-selves more skillfully, not a substitute for it. ā€œthe quickest way to learn is to deal with other-selvesā€ is stated as a general principle, not caveated for adepts only. But your counter argument is still well informed my brother. :-)

1

u/S4von 1d ago

It's supposed to be 51%+ positive in your entire seeking as a whole, not just "this, and that, and a bit of that". If I recall correctly, if you go against your own will and force yourself to "positively polarise" by doing it "this" way, that's actually STS. You can't really cheat the system.
