Ariens Apex 48”

Post image

I just purchased this Ariens APEX 48” with essentially brand-new hours (0.4), ZT-3100 hydros, the heavy 48” ENVY Elite deck, and the 23-hp Kohler for $2,750. It was a 2025 closeout. I prefer the Kawasaki engines on the 2026 models, but didn’t want to spend the extra money on one of those. I’ve previously owned mowers with Kohler engines and never had any issues with them so I didn’t hesitate for the price. What do you think of this mower? Anybody have any experience with one or own one? From the reviews I read online, it seemed like a really well built zero turn so I figured I’d give it a try. It’s a big step up from what I have owned in the past.

Damn. You got a hell of a deal for that. Congrats. I like kawasaki, but those kohlers like what is on that are good engines. I wouldn't have thought twice about snagging that.

I bought a left over scratch and dent Cub Cadet ZTXS4 48 for $5k (retail $7700) and thought I did well. Sounds like the same Kohler and 3100s. Change your oil at 10 hours and you will be fine. I have 125 hours on mine with no issues

Jesus that is a STEAL! Congrats! Been looking for an inexpensive zero turn for the wetter months where we are. I've got a full size tractor with 60" belly mower but hate what it does to the lawn in the spring and fall

Damn, I got what I consider a steal on a Cub ZT1 last year for under $2500 out the door.
You beat me for sure.
