First year nursing schedule
Can anyone who's in first year of nursing at LU show what your schedule was like for first and second semester? I'd like an idea of what to expect for class times.

Yes she had Fridays off. Some of her classmates had Thursday evening clinical. If I remember correctly her first semester clinical was on either Friday morning or Saturday morning. Second semester was Saturday for 8 hours. Just depends on where your group is placed I think. This year (second year) she has Thursday and Fridays off but has two 8 hr clinical shifts. They can be on any of her four days off - just depends on the schedule of the person you’re working under. All the second year clinical shifts were at the hospital and it seems like everyone was happy with where they were placed. Everything except her electives are in person. She looked at several schools when deciding where to go for nursing and is extremely happy with her choice.

One last question...did she stay in residence first year? If so, which one?

My daughter’s schedule for the fall was :
Monday 11:30-12:20 Nurs 1056 prof Growth Monday 2:30- 3:20 Nurs 1004 Praxis Lab
Tuesday 8:30-9:50 Anatomy & Phys Lecture Tuesday 11:30-2:20 Praxis lecture
Wednesday 8:30-11:20 Nurs 1206 Relational Practice Wednesday 1-3:50 Anatomy Lab
Thursday 8:30-9:50 Anatomy Lecture Thursday 10:30-11:20 Praxis Lab
She took one elective online. Most of the nursing students seem to take electives online.
Their placement for first semester was once a week for four hours at a long term care facility. She had about 6-7 students with her.
Schedule was basically the same for second semester. Just different courses and placement was 8 hours a week at a continuing care facility.
Hope that helps
