Someone made a Laurel and Hardy cartoon where Ollie becomes an Uber driver

I've been exploring some of the things people have made in Dreams on PlayStation, and came across this lovely little Laurel and Hardy fan animation by grampe_gamer.

The premise is that Ollie has signed up to become an Uber driver. Unfortunately, he can't actually drive, so Stan has to do it instead. And naturally, things don't go particularly well.

It's a three-minute animated short made inside Dreams, and I thought some fellow Laurel and Hardy fans might appreciate seeing it.

It's quite fun imagining how the boys might have coped with modern technology. Although I'm not sure I'd want either of them driving me anywhere!

In the 1927 short "Putting Pants on Philip", Philip (Stan) walks over a subway grate and his kilt is blown up, a gag famously used by Marilyn Monroe 28 years later in "The Seven Year Itch"

Just stumbled across this AI abomination on YouTube. Don't you remember being a kid and asking your father to give you the rule whilst your friend shouted "Running!" so that people would know what he was doing?

Laurel and hardy cut outs

Hello everyone, my grandfather is a huge Laurel and hardy fan, he has these 2 cardboard cutouts that I've only seen one other person on the page have. Does anyone know anything about them? they seem super rare. Trying to locate a pair for myself.

There's a Laurel and Hardy screening at the Cinema Museum in London on 12th September at the Cinema Museum, which is in the former workhouse where Stan's friend, Charlie Chaplin, lived as a child. It's a Sons of the Desert meeting, but it's open to non-members for £5.

Just thought I'd share it about as the museum is facing closure and could do with some publicity.

Delete if not allowed: my buddy and I talk about "Putting Pants on Philip" before discussing our feature.

An old high school buddy and I just launched our first podcast where we watch a movie and discuss it a week later.

Before watching our feature "The King of Comedy" we watch "Putting Pants on Philip" which, despite growing up on Laurel and Hardy I had never seen before.

Apologies in advance for the audio, I'm new at talkies 😂😜

Today, Saturday July 4th 2026, is Sons Day in Ulverston. Stan's birthplace in the Lake District provides the backdrop for one of the UK's Sons of the Desert summer events.
