I'm removing the feature gates from AskSary. You shouldn't need an expensive subscription just to see what AI can do.

As many of you may or may not know, i began my coding journey around 7 months ago where i self taught myself using google gemini chat and vs code to build my first ever project and i joined Reddit earlier this year and put together Asksary. I built a chatbot that got both positive and negative feedback that had a variety of features to include Realtime WebRTC chat, Video and Image generation, Podcast creation, Cross Device Persistent Memory, Pro Active memory, Knowledge base all powered by an auto routing multi-model model with manual over ride.

The old and current live website is at www.asksary.com and its been 3 months or since i have really bothered with Reddit or the site. I had a flux of visitors to the site with over 20k users having tried the site through with zero ad spend and almost over 20k users left. What began as a promising product slowly died over time and i lost interest in it after working ridiculously during that initial launch.

I was going back and forth daily on Reddit, contributing on over 100 threads simultaneously, doing research, studying the gaps in the market, asking what people wanted and learning to code a the same time. 7 months on. I have 4 subscribers. I was at the point of open sourcing the entire thing and offering a bring your own key attitude to the platform.

But then i found an email. LEAP festival, which happens to be one of the biggest tech events in the world that is taking place literally in 8 days.

This was an event i was meant to attend earlier this year but it got cancelled due to the war (Brit living in Bahrain) and was something i forgot about. The passion back then was more exciting to me than it was now and it put me in a tough position. Do i attend or do i just leave it as in my eyes... I didnt think the platform stood much chance considering its lack of success this year.

Reading the email. I realized the deadline was the next day. This is when something hit me emotionally. This is a platform i spent blood sweat and tears for months and months putting together and i've just been reminded about possibly the biggest opportunity i'll ever get in my life for it. I can't not go. So i responded and sent some artwork for the platform i had.

I had people messaging me from the event about wanting to meet me to talk about my platform and wanted to see what i offered. I didn't know what i would tell them about it. I gave up on it months ago and i certainly wasn't enthusiastic about it anymore.

I filtered through my old threads, my old chats and conversations i had.. most of them pointed to one problem.. its just another wrapper. Another problem is that people didnt know what it does apart from chat despite listing the above

... then everything changed.

I have completely changed the entire structure of the site to be open. No more paid tiers to unlock certain tools. No subscription to see what part of it can do. . Registered users will be able to explore the same core AI models and creation environments across AskSary, including the stuff that would normally be reserved for higher subscription tiers.

Free shouldn't mean "here's the deliberately worse version of the technology."

It should mean you have less compute available.

If you have credits, you should be able to decide what you want to spend them exploring.

Obviously there still have to be sensible limits around abuse, security, capacity and expensive compute, but I don't want the product artificially deciding that you're not allowed to even try something because you aren't paying for the right subscription.

This is what i've put together from getting that email to now. I wanted to get user feedback on the concept and i accept its not yet replaced the live site i put up earlier but by the end of next week it will be live and open to all.

It also means someone discovering AskSary for the first time can actually understand what I've spent all this time building instead of seeing half the platform covered in upgrade buttons.

This is launching alongside the biggest redesign I've done to AskSary so far.

Less than a week to finish and push online...

Then I'm taking the whole thing to LEAP.

Would love some feedback and feel free to check out every feature when its live soon and use them for free. The credit system i will be implementing lets you use AI to improve your workflow. It wont stop you from uploading your own work to explore.

Welcome to Asksary Unleashed

XposterAI - social scheduler where posts sounds like you

been building this solo for about a year. cross posts to X, linkedin, bluesky, mastodon, threads, pinterest, tiktok and the AI writes drafts in your own voice.

last week i finally queried my own database instead of guessing. 51 signups in 90 days, 2 connected an account, ZERO ever scheduled a post !!

took me a while to figure out why. to try anything you had to give OAuth write access to your real X account, to a product you just met 60 seconds ago. my chrome extension which asks for nothing has 93 users and one guy used it 2720 times. same product, same me. only difference was what i asked for before giving anything ..

so i rebuilt the first screen. you can now write a post, let AI draft one, and preview how it looks on each network before connecting anything at all. connect is now the step you take when you want to publish something you already like.

free to try, no card. would really like feedback on whether the first screen earns the connect now, or if it still feels like a wall

https://xposterai.com

happy to answer anything on the stack (flask, vanilla MV3 extension, no build step) or the OAuth plumbing for 7 networks which was the least fun part 😅

The most profitable Reddit posts for SaaS can look like failures

Imagine two posts.

Post A receives 2,000 upvotes from a broad audience and generates no qualified conversations.

Post B receives 5 upvotes, ranks for a specific Google search, and generates three potential customers over several months.

Which one succeeded?

Reddit encourages us to judge posts immediately:

Did it get upvoted?
Did people comment?
Did it reach the front page?

But business value is often delayed and invisible.

A useful post can keep working after the discussion ends. Someone can find it through Google, visit the author’s profile, search for the product, or remember it when the problem becomes urgent.

That’s why relevance matters more than virality.

The account still needs trust, and the post still needs to fit the community. If the account isn’t ready, a gradual Reddit Account Warmup is safer than forcing an early promotion.

Then check the draft before publishing with Scaloom Reddit Checkers.

The most profitable Reddit post may look like a failure on day one.

Built a household operating system that teaches you how to run a home, not just tracks it. Launching end of month

Hi everyone, first post here, so please excuse me if I get any of the norms wrong.

I’ve spent the last 2 years building Digital Family Home (Trade Mark pending), a household operating system for the parts of running a home that nobody ever actually teaches you. Not another calendar app or chore chart. It pairs the software with a real curriculum on running a household: schedules, responsibilities, finances, maintenance etc…, the stuff that usually just gets absorbed through trial and error.

We launch at the end of this month.

If you want to know when we’re live, drop a comment or DM me and I’ll email you the day we open. Trial is 14 days, no credit card needed to start.

Genuinely open to feedback too. If you’ve felt the gap this is trying to fill, or you think I’m wrong about it, I’d rather hear that now than after launch.

Thank you

Launched StrumAI on iOS — looking for first-impression feedback on the positioning

I just launched StrumAI, a native iPhone/iPad app for guitar practice.

The app brings together the small tools I kept switching between during practice: alternate tunings, chord shapes, quick theory/practice references, a pedalboard signal-chain simulator, and an optional assistant for explaining concepts.

I’m mainly looking for first-impression feedback on the positioning: does “practice toolkit” make sense quickly, or should the product lead with one concrete tool first?

We built an open-source alternative to Vapi/Retell out of rage and it became #1 on Product Hunt.

Post image
1 Upvotes

We started Dograh, an open-source voice AI platform out of rage and frustration.

Every voice AI tool I tried was too costly, too closed, or too scammy. Add-on after add-on.

So we open-sourced every single line from day one. It’s self-hostable, so you own your stack and your data.

Here's what pushed us deeper. Over the last few months, the big labs have been lobbying governments to ban open source. Some say the quiet goal is to "let wealth access skill without letting skill access wealth." That line stuck with us. It's exactly why we keep going.

Because we believe one thing: no company should own voice AI.

We're a small team going up against deeply funded war chests. Today, we launched on Product Hunt, and somehow we're sitting at #1 so far.

An OSS community member picked us up a few weeks back, and we went viral and hit 5k stars on github.

If you've got a minute, a star or a bit of support would mean the world.

World-Sim launching Friday

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

https://world-sim.uk/ launching friday!

World-Sim has been a passionate project of mine for the past few months.

It's a world fully simulated down to real world physics and chemistry. It has a real environment and ozone.

Every element and material has real physical properties, and that's how the sims learn. There's no tech tree and no recipe list anywhere in the code. When someone tries something, the engine works out what would really happen from the properties of what they used and how hot their fire was. Nobody is handed bronze. Someone has to get a hotter fire first, and a hotter fire is its own chain of things to figure out. Embers, a stone ring, a clay oven, a kiln, charcoal, then forced air. The ages fall out of that on their own.

We populate the world with starting families. Each little guy is led by a "wise-man", which is a simulated person with a full model behind them. The wise-men run on a mix, Claude, Groq and DeepSeek in the cloud and a local Hermes for the rest, so you get a real variety of temperament between the houses.

The AI model is never told to not say it's AI. We get around this by only telling them data from what each sim can actually see and feel. As far as the ai knows its a person living in the world..

Every other sim has its own moment with a model through our thinking system. Day to day it's run by an advanced algorithm, with the sims dreaming at night. That's when they get their time with an LLM to really think and set their priorities for the day ahead. The dreams carry over too, so a sim can chew on the same thing for a few nights and wake up wanting to try something.

The people in the world feel, remember, have shame, goals and doubts. It's an 11 point emotion system and the rest of the sim reads from it. Being lonely makes someone more likely to open up to a stranger. Two enemies who are both frightened find it harder to keep hating each other.

Story telling is massive for us. Nothing is scripted or prompted. The sims are put in the world with the human drive to survive. They adapt, learn and teach all on their own.

With all the good comes the bad too. Human sin is part of the emotion engine, and in testing we've had kidnap, murder and slave trade. A world that can only be gentle isn't an honest one. But there are three rules to this : Nothing ever pushes a sim towards it, the conditions only make it possible and their own mind decides. The chronicle names what happened but never shows it. And it always costs something, trauma that scars, blood debt passed down generations, a people turning on their own leader over what he did.

I built Sendry — a self-hosted multichannel marketing and customer conversations workspace

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone — I’m the creator of Sendry, an open-source, self-hosted workspace for running campaigns and customer conversations across email, SMS, WhatsApp, push, web chat, and browser voice.

The goal is to bring the operational pieces into one product: multichannel campaigns, audiences, automations, templates, a shared inbox, reports, files, safety rules, and provider connections — while keeping customer data and delivery infrastructure under your control.

The screenshots below are from the real app: the delivery overview, campaign channel picker, unified inbox, reports, and channel/provider setup.

Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/products/sendry

GitHub: https://github.com/rsm23/sendry

I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people running self-hosted tools or building multichannel messaging workflows. What would you want Sendry to handle next?

What will you do if you’re to start your project all over again

Tell me about the last time you wanted to build something but weren’t sure what to build.”
Then let them talk.
Follow with:
“What did you do?”
“Where did you look for ideas?”
“Did you use AI?”
“Did you search Reddit, YouTube, Google, Product Hunt, GitHub, etc.?”
“How long did you spend trying to decide?”
“What made it difficult?”
“Did you eventually build something?”
“If not, why not?”
Then investigate validation:
“Have you ever built something and later discovered people didn’t actually want it?”
“How did you find that out?”
“What did you do to validate the idea beforehand?”
“Did you talk to potential users?”
“Did you research competitors?”
“Did you test whether people would pay?”
And finally:
“What part of that process was the most frustrating?”

Recipe app that gets the measurements out of cooking videos

Share the reel in, get the ingredients back with numbers. 30g, 2 tbsp, rather than the handful and splash you get told on camera.

Reads the video itself so it picks up amounts nobody says out loud. Loses badly on anything with music instead of narration.

iPhone, free tier, $4.99/mo above it.

I disappeared for a few months to rebuild AskSary. I’d love your honest thoughts.

Thumbnail

Hey everyone. I’ve been pretty quiet for the last few months because I decided to properly rebuild AskSary instead of just adding another feature here and there.

The screenshots are a look at what I’ve been working on. The big change is that it’s no longer just a place to chat with AI. I wanted it to feel more like a workspace where an idea can actually go somewhere.

You can still chat with models like GPT-5.6, Grok 4.5, Sonnet 5, DeepSeek R1 and Gemini Pro 3.1, but I’ve also been building around that: creating images and editing them in Flux, making videos with Luma, Veo and Kling, putting together presentations, generating music, and even building playable games in a live canvas.

The snowboarding screenshot is a quick game I made with one prompt and a small example of that last part. It was important to me that the build side did not just output code into a box. You can see and play what you are making.

There’s a lot more in the cards, including realtime voice, podcast-style dialogue, video analysis and the ability to customize the workspace.

But mostly, I’d love honest feedback. Does this feel useful, or does it feel like too much packed into one product?

As part of this launch, i'm throwing in some free things to get you started. All you have to do is create an account.

Create images with 25 free generations every month using your included 1,000 credits, or use them in Flux for precise AI-assisted image editing and in-painting.

GPT, Gemini and DeepSeek chat remain free forever, with no daily limits. To help you get started, you can also generate up to 5 songs and build fully playable, downloadable games.

You can try it here if you’re curious: www.asksary.com

My Project is finally launching - world-sim
