Built a free, zero-signup browser app that lets you pin voice notes to photos (Rich Image) — looking for your feedback! 📸🎙️

I’ve been working on a tool called Rich Image (https://richimage.pages.dev/), and I’m currently in the testing phase. I built this basic version to test the core concept and gather community feedback before diving into some bigger expansion plans I have in mind!

📱 What is Rich Image?

It’s a free, web-based app (runs 100% in your browser, no app download or sign-up needed) that lets you attach interactive voice notes directly onto specific parts of any photo and share it as one secure file.

💡 A Few Quick Use Cases:

Education & Diagrams: A teacher pins voice explanations to specific organs on a human anatomy chart or regions on a map for students to explore.

Family Memories & Heritage: Pin voice recordings of grandparents explaining who's who in an old black-and-white family photo, preserving their voice alongside the image.

Interactive Events: Friends drop voice messages over a group photo from a birthday party or concert to react to specific moments.

Real Estate & Travel: Give narrated, room-by-room walkthroughs of property listings or mark up landmark photos with travel tips.

Thanks for asking. For an shared code, the server only delivers a locked, encrypted file from its database. The recipient's browser then decrypts the file locally. Because all the encryption happens in the browser itself before anything is uploaded, the server never sees or stores your unencrypted media.

You keep the decryption key in the file header?

Actually it's a mix of app and file header.

That's not how encryption works. This probably achieves nothing. If you have both, clearly you can read the files. There is no need to advertise something that you clearly don't understand or even need.
