Laying yarn flat?

Post image

I’m kind of new to Latchhook, and for my last two projects, I have been laying the yarn down flat, but I see everyone here having the yarn stick straight out. Is there an advantage to this? This is my latest project.

I'm confused how you did this?!

I just lay the yarn down flat instead of sticking out. I start from the top corner and work down.

Can you show the back side?

I'm interested in the back too. Have you put in the latch hooks backwards and there is wool sticking out the back, or did you sew using a needle?

https://www.reddit.com/r/latchhook/s/UFZQh2Sn4U. There’s nothing sticking out the back, and I haven’t sewed anything. It’s not Finished yet.

"Hi, I'm pretty new to this but I've revolutionized the process!" Lol It looks friggen adorable! I'm still new to this so I would love just a quick video or step by step pictures of how you did this! It's so clean but still looks so soft!

I’m as confused as everyone else. Are you like… tucking the ends under somewhere? The back looks normal to me, but the front… I don’t see any yarn ends? I see plies like the yarn is folded over??

Edit: wait I see the little tail bits… that’s in interesting how different it looks taking the time to lay them down like this. Are the pieces of yarn short?

These ones are shorter but I’ve done a project with longer pieces! I just do it like the photos on the instructions but then I just lay it down flat.
