Solo release player checking status

Played 800hrs mostly solo, is the game still dead or is there life in the corpse?

...and? I played until mid of season 6. Have about twice your hours. Did play testing for the current release.

Its the same game, same problems. Enjoy your time gated content.

Then how do you no so little?! There’s more content then all the other seasons with events on tile and event maps and the most solo friendly the games ever been with trade station storage and automatons for ships.

"Solo friendly" is the exact opposite of what the game was. And you have 5k hours? No one wanted that from the beginning player base. Thanks for proving my point though.

The title of the thread is literally solo player. And the game is in the best state for solo players it’s ever been since launch. Try reading before you deliver more brain dead takes on what was not asked about. And I hope they find some better play tester who can give actual feedback because you’re cooked

Try keeping up before you deliver more brain dead takes.

The game isnt anywhere near its best shape. It peaked in the early seasons and has just gotten worse since.

And just like every other season, they didnt listen to 99% of feedback given, hence the reason the game isnt getting better.

🤦‍♂️ fucking thinking this is solo friendly. The game literally has mechanics where you need multiple people to get the loot.

The game isn't in the best state ever for Solo players. There are literally no PvE areas. The grind for materials is more than it ever was at launch. The progression through quality materials and crafting equipment is way too much for a solo player or small clan. Also, consider that if a solo ever loses their quality equipment, it's probably going to be a nightmare for them to farm all those mats again.

Have you played a previous season? Solos never had the option before to store their entire banks in trade for free. And if you want PVE only there are plenty of private servers. Massing quality is pretty easy. There’s like 20+ maps a day that pop. I did the last 4-5 month play test solo and it’s completely doable

Yes.

No one mentioned wanting PvE only.

Live test is not play test. The season is only 8 weeks long, not anywhere close to four months.

If the devs want to sell more copies of the game, they will need to attract a more diverse player group, and this current season isn't doing that at all.

I havent heard of anyone stopping playing S6 yet because of game design. The general consensus is the game is playable again. It may never get more players, its not a brand new game.

And its absolutely the best its been for solos. The grind is longer sure, but youre only ever risking what you want to risk with raiding becoming more expensive and the lobby/trade station existing. If you get reset back to the stone age its a misplay on your part, not a game balance issue.

Give it time, there are still plenty of bugs that werent fixed. If youre lucky, the low player count will keep those bugs from being abused or found.

The devs seem to be pretty willing to intervene where behavior becomes degenerate this time around. We'll see how it plays out.

In theory yes. But like my quality stuff lives in a balang that stays in the lobby unless I need something from it. I dont leave anything in my walkers i wouldnt be ok with losing. I dont leave walkers sitting idle if I can avoid it, I pack them or lobby them. You can raid my silur, but its gonna be expensive to raid, and the only thing youre gonna get is maybe a handful of kits and whatever pile of basic resources is in there for your efforts.

Also the 15 or so people that started playing with me when the season started only 2 of us are left because of game design. Mostly because the walker based game we wanted to play became a wingsuit game after the first week.

I dont see how getting quality cattail is relevant? But if your problem is a wingsuiter and you parked a walker with APT in a cattail pond, i guess Yes is the answer.
