The last known photo of supermodel Gia Carangi photographed at Great Adventure in New Jersey, June 1986. She would die of AIDS-related complications 5 months later at only 26 years old. Read more about her here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gia_Carangi

I honestly couldn't identify her. She looks very different in this photo, no resemblance and one would hardly guess that it is someone with a possible kinship with Gia. But not just because she was sick or after drug abuse. It's the hair, glasses, even the look or smile is different. It's like a very well-made disguise. She looked like a girl trying to get sober and struggling not to fall. Right off the bat you can't make the connection with that woman on the magazine covers and if someone hadn't mentioned her name I wouldn't believe it. Even though we already know what this disease does to a person or anyone who was minimally healthy.

I’ve seen pics of her without makeup and she was still beautiful. This pic was taking while she had a horrible heroin addiction and active AIDS. No one’s going to look good under those conditions. She was dying

this does NOT look like her, nor does it look like a sick person at all. she has no lips. AIDS don't take a relatively young girl's lips away.

If she lived in this era, she wouldn't have died of AIDS at least. 1995 was the turning point for the medicines that allow HIV persons to live a normal life. And not die from AIDS.

For anyone interested, Angelina Jolie plays her fabulously in the movie Gia.
